For me, The instant cure for anxiety is to understand the fact that there are infinite amount of possible outcomes in this universe and our brain only thinks of a handful . A bad outcome can become the means of a good outcome in the future. Just like that a good outcome can become the means of a bad outcome. For example, you lost your job (bad thing). But then you got a new job which is better ( bad thing led to a good outcome.) It's an endless cycle. So just go with the flow and don't think about it . 😄 Goodluck.

I work with college students and always remind them that the social media trap is about you comparing your worst to someone else's best (if what they are posting is even true.) What if you can't sleep because of the anxiety, your diet is affected as you can't put enough effort to planning and preparing food, you have no energy to meet and talk to people, your exercise routine is affected and you don't recover fast afterwards because you can't sleep. You do have hobbies but you have to choose between work and doing hobbies as you have the energy to barely do one... anyone knows a video that might help with that?

Anxiety and sleep are challenging. One trick I learned, was not to be too worried if I have a or couple bad nights. It is distressing, but not dangerous (there are exceptions to this). If there is no pressure in my head that "I have to sleep" then I relax more. If I am counting the minutes, it becomes a distraction. I feel more comfortable talking to a MD who is either a psychiatrist or a sleep specialist if the problem is extreme.

Maybe you feel bad because you’re not doing these things when you know you should? In that case I definitely experience that too, I think it’s important to take small steps and to celebrate what small steps you make. If getting out of bed is hard, then try to be proud of yourself when you do. If you go outside when it’s hard, then try to be proud of yourself. You don’t have to be like these people, hell nobody says that people who are very healthy in their body are also healthy in their mind, these are just what help manage general anxiety on some level. You shouldn’t have to feel jealous of her because you are you and she is she, if you’re not able to go for a run every morning then that’s PERFECTLY okay. I understand that these things are very hard and you’ve probably heard my advice/opinion many times as well. But what matters is that you’re doing your best, even if your best some days might just be laying in bed. I believe that you’re stronger than you think. I hope you can find peace in yourself!

Jesus is the answer! This is my best friend's story. Precious Memories- By Sonya Lakey We had no idea that the evening of September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. We laughed together, played games, sang, and enjoyed listening as our oldest son played the piano for us. I packed a lunch for him (which he usually did for himself) for the church hike he was going on the following day. My mom, who was visiting from out of state, and I got up early with him on Saturday morning to hug him and see him off. He hugged me and smiled, never pulling away or rushing me. He got in the car, waved, said he'd see me later and he loved me. It was hard to watch my "new driver" heading out on his own. As he pulled out of the gate, I turned to my mom and said, "It's just so hard letting go." Little did I know how much "letting go" I was really doing. That was the last time I saw our 16 year old son. He did not make it home that night. That afternoon, a friend had tried to contact us, leaving a message on the phone to call back due to an emergency, but we really had no clue what was going on. And though we tried several times to return the call, we were not able to make a connection. As I helped prepare supper, an overwhelming feeling of deep concern for Ethan and dread filled my heart, and I quietly blinked back tears. I looked out the window, half expecting to see a police officer pulling in, but no. However, within minutes, a police car DID pull in our driveway. In my heart, I feared the worst, but I went outside to speak with him. He confirmed who I and my husband (who followed me out) were, then hesitantly told us our son had fallen off a bluff and had succumbed to his injuries. Our hearts were crushed.... Still are. Yet, in all of our brokenness, deep, continual grief and loneliness, we have such a blessed Hope and assurance that we will see our dear son again. You see, even as a young boy, Ethan realized some very important truths from God's Word. He had sinned against a righteous, holy and just God. The Bible says: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ” (Romans 3:23) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12) He understood that his sin separated him from God, and he deserved to spend eternity in Hell. “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) He understood he could not pay the price for his sins. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Ethan realized that, 'though he could not pay the price for his sins, the price had already been paid in full by the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus lived a perfectly sinless life. He had no fault of His own. But Jesus was crucified for our sins, and He took on Himself the sins of every person in the whole world. He was beaten, spit on, whipped, mocked, scourged, and nailed to the Cross of Calvary. He shed every drop of His righteous blood - because that was the only thing that could satisfy the just demands of a righteous God - so we could be made righteous in Him. He suffered all of that so Ethan - and you and I - would not have to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire, but so we could spend eternity in Heaven with HIM! THAT is a great LOVE. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) Jesus did not stay on the cross, nor did He stay in the tomb where His body was buried. Three days later, Jesus arose triumphant over sin and death and the grave. Ethan believed this with his whole heart, asked Jesus to forgive his sins, and he put his faith in Jesus Christ ALONE to save him from sin and eternal death and to take him to Heaven someday. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28) Because of this great salvation, Ethan lived his life serving Jesus and others. He worked hard to spread this Good News to the world. We know he is alive in Heaven with Jesus today, and we know we will see him again soon, not because he was a great kid, but because of his faith in the great Saviour! What about you? What if you had fallen to your death that day? Would your family, though grieving, be able to rejoice in the knowledge that they would see you again in Heaven, or would you be burning in Hell today? The Word of God is very clear that there is only One Way to Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) Have YOU trusted Jesus as YOUR Saviour? Have you repented of your sins? Have you asked Jesus to forgive you so you can go to Heaven & not have to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire? Tomorrow may be too late. As Ethan pulled out of sight that morning, we had no idea we would never see him again in this life. None of us have the promise of tomorrow! Repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus alone - today! “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2 Corinthians 6:2) "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." James 4:14

Finding it hard to believe that Kyle did not even wake up for 2 seconds during thise 33 hours. He obviously woke up and rolled over and went BACK to sleep. That's how it is when I'm depressed. I think she means actually getting up when you first wake up even if only for a minute. It's about resisting the urge to keep sleeping even though you already actually woke up. I hope that made sense 😅. FYI I deleted all social media and it feels great. And I'm loving that she was in an acapella group. Reminds me of that one movie Pitch Perfect

Ok I’ll be honest. As an autoimmunie trying to manage chronic fatigue, almost all of these are a big issue. When flares hit, the ability to sleep, excercise and socialise are the first things that go. Anxiety, depression and inability to concentrate or keep up with hobbies follow shortly behind. I fully understand that these are all linked and the important thing is to break the vicious cycle. But where to start.... ?

I believe it’s about doing your best with it. These are pretty general statements for people overall, I think they have more specified videos, maybe not about your condition but there might be something that helps? But I definitely see the criticism too, of course there are small tricks to actually doing these things but I feel they’re so individual that it’s hard. What’s important imo is that you just keep trying, and keep rewarding yourself for the progress you’re making. It would be nice if they had more specific videos about these things too tho. And I hope you can find ways to deal with your conditions even better soon!

Hi, congratulations on your first baby! I have a few questions. Why did you decide to have a child when you have severe anxiety, anger issues, PTSD, and trauma so bad that you had to look up how to cope with anxiety video? What were you thinking? Didn't you ever think how your conditions might severely affect your child's development either in a direct or indirect way? You must not want your child to have such conditions as you do, right? I have deep childhood trauma that affects me to this day. Most of it originated from my parents. They have conditions. I don't want to blame them, but it is what it is. I don't believe I could or anyone could properly raise and nurture children when they have severe anxiety disorders and anger issues. I myself have these issues which is the reason I clicked to watch this video. I was wondering about your thought process, not necessarily blaming you. Thanks.

As someone who suffers clinical depression and anxiety disorder, I clicked on this expecting it to be helpful. As part of my diagnosis and the impact it has on me, there are multiple days a week where I literally can barely get out of bed, shower, brush my teeth, or even order food, let alone go shopping and cook. Someone telling me a should “eat healthy” and “go for a run” is extremely ableist and condescending. I’d be surprised if people with this actual diagnosis can achieve this day in day out. This is not helpful.

  • @michellesmirnova4471

I don’t see what part of this is ableist? They didn’t claim to solve your condition. The video is about helping cope with anxiety. Truth of the matter is that these things do help. Nowhere did she state that you’re bad if you’re not doing it. And this IS helpful for a lot of people, just because it’s not helpful for you it doesn’t make it bad advice. I understand that it’s difficult, and I’m not telling you that you should just “do it”, nobody should, whatever you achieve you should be proud of. However, they’re not telling you that you have to just “do it” either. If it wasn’t helpful for you then that’s fine, but they’re not talking about depression or anxiety disorders, not in this specific video, they’re talking about anxiety overall. Again, this advice IS helpful for many, just because it’s not helpful for you doesn’t make it bad advice or ableist. I’m sure someone clicked on this, watched it, and felt grateful to have heard this advice. Not everybody is able to do it and that’s okay, because they didn’t claim that everybody is.

Meditation can help with everyday anxiety and stress in a number of ways: First, it can help to calm the mind and body. When we are stressed or anxious, our bodies go into "fight or flight" mode. This means that our heart rate and breathing increase, our muscles tense up, and our blood pressure rises. Meditation can help to slow down our heart rate, relax our muscles, and lower our blood pressure. This can help us to feel calmer and more relaxed. Second, meditation can help us to focus on the present moment. When we are stressed or anxious, our minds tend to wander to the past or the future. We may worry about things that have happened or that might happen. Meditation can help us to bring our attention back to the present moment. This can help us to appreciate the good things in our lives and to let go of the things that we cannot control. Third, meditation can help us to develop self-compassion. When we are stressed or anxious, we may be hard on ourselves. We may criticize ourselves for our mistakes or for not being good enough. Meditation can help us to develop self-compassion. This means that we learn to accept ourselves for who we are, with our strengths and weaknesses. This can help us to feel more at peace with ourselves and with the world around us. If you are looking for a way to reduce stress and anxiety, meditation is a great option. It is a safe and effective way to calm the mind and body, focus on the present moment, and develop self-compassion. There are many different types of meditation, so you can find one that works for you. You can find guided meditations online or in books, or you can learn to meditate on your own. If you are new to meditation, it is a good idea to start with short sessions and gradually increase the length of your meditations as you become more comfortable with it.

Reduce negative social media. Avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes. Senior Counsellor.

I want to share three tips that help me deal with stress myself. * Stress can cause anxiety. So try this: First, recognize that some stress is inevitable. Fretting over things you cannot prevent increases your stress. Second, understand that quite often things do not turn out the way we may fear they will. * Be modest, set reasonable standards, and know both your limitations and those of others. When you do this, you will reduce stress all around and even encourage greater success. Also, keep a sense of humor. When you laugh-even when something goes wrong-you relieve tension and brighten your mood. * play chess and solve chess puzzles. If you want to play with me, write me, I will be very happy!
