Finn The Goldfish through fasting and prayer The lord can reveal his intentions in your life. One of the most important things is to not be lead by your emotions but by the Holy Spirit and the word of God. Ask him to reveal his will in your in prayer and meditate on it. I’m sure the Lord has someone for you, but always keep the Lord first no matter what goes down. (Read Jeremiah 33:3)

You know what's scary?? The fact that sometimes we can marry the wrong person and end up in a marriage that God didn't join for us. You have to be very careful when you get married because if it's not the person God chose for you it will end badly.

God can also redeem the marriage IF both people are saved AND are willing to submit to God and do things His way. My own marriage was saved in this way, but it took 29 years of hell on earth to get here. Be very careful to ask God to point out the right person for you. Then be willing to obey the Lord, even when you don't much like His answer. He will BLESS you because of it. AMEN

Same! I've finally almost figured out my own feminity, and some of how that might work in a marriage. God's taken me a long way recently, and I've come to think that maybe encouragement might be one of my spiritual gifts. Amen. #5 particularly caught my interest. About a year or so ago, God led me to study Ephesians 5:22-31 a little closer than I had before. I truly believe that’s when He started preparing me for marriage. He has really changed my heart in that time and my view of marriage has completely changed. Although I am still single, I do believe that God starts preparing people months or even years before an actual relationship manifests. Marriage is a serious, lifelong covenant and not to be entered into lightly.

Hey, Mark. This is off topic, but I wanted to share this with you. I've been taking guitar lessons for the past two years. I've been wanting an electric guitar for a long time. My instructor gave me one of his electric guitars. He didn't sell it to me. He gave it to me. It's a Charvel and it's nicer than anything I could have ever picked out for myself. The next day I walked into the music store looking to buy a cord to hook up to an amp and the guy at the counter gave me a new cord--never been opened. No joke. I told my mom and my dad about my new guitar and my dad was really excited about it because he used to play guitar back in the 70s. Then I went back to the store and bought a cheap practice amp and two days later I got a check in the mail from my dad to pay for my amplifier and I never asked him for anything. God blessed me with an electric guitar set up that was nicer than anything I could have bought and it didn't cost me a dime. God is good!

Cool! That reminds me of how I just got my computer about a month ago. I work in Internet provisioning, and work just updated all their computer equipment recently and held two sales to get rid of all the old ones. I couldn't afford one at the first sale, but the second sale was a PC, monitor, and keyboard for $50! I had a set put on hold, and it waited on me to scrape together $50 all thru the holidays. Then someone in the IT department told me they were sold out. I thought that included mine, and I forgot all about it. A month later, another IT guy asked me, "We've still got it, do you still want it?" That morning, I had had a vet appointment that I had set aside $500 for, and the situation turned out to be nothing serious, I just had to pay for an exam. So I bought my computer the next day and took it home- a Windows 8.1, supposedly. It didn't work. So I took it back, and IT fixed it for me. Here's the GOOD part: even IT couldn't tell me what was really wrong with it. They said, "We don't know, we think it was a driver issue, but whatever- we installed Windows 10 on it for ya." So I got an up-to-date Windows PC for $50! Now I just gotta afford Internet (besides my phone) and some good digital art software.... Well, I know He didn't give me a computer just to sit around and play solitaire.

Are you looking for the “right person” STOP! So much emphasis in our culture is focused on finding the right person. Instead focus on building godly character in yourself. Develop the qualities you would like attract in another person. It takes two “healthy people” of good character to have a great marriage.

bravoman I hear your hurt. Actually I learned this truth the hard way as well. It was the result of a broken marriage that led to divorce. I realized I needed to take a close look at myself and the role I played in the marriage. What areas of my character contributed to the unsuccessful marriage? As for finding a mate the Bible teaches us in 1Corinthians Chapter 7 to seek God first and foremost. Secondly, we need to get to a place of contentment in our singleness. In other words, I am going to develop a great life with or without a spouse. (This is not easy to do, but comes in time as we grow in relationship with God) There is tremendous internal freedom once you reach this point. Ask God to direct you to someone who is at this place as well. In a nutshell I hope this helps answer your question.

Before I really have no desire for marriage because my focus was to serve God, help my family and be successful in my career. Not until this year 2021, I just woke up and having a desire to get married someday. I prayed to God and ask Him to prepare me and let His will be done in my life. Then, there's this guy whom I've known since we were young suddenly texted me. I was surprised because we really don't talk that much about personal matters, only church-related or ministry related topics but here he is, asking me about my view of relationship and anything related with that. I actually have doubts because I don't know what is his intention of doing those but I feel like we have this special connection even before whenever we talk or we are together. I feel at peace, free and just being myself around him unlike any other guy. And now, the desire for marriage is getting strong. However, I'm not sure and I don't know if he is the one whom God will give to me. Please pray for me. 🙏

The timing you describe is too insane to be just luck. On top of this, the best, longest lasting marriages are rooted in deep, close friendship, with incredibly easy conversations. So consider discussing what life would be like as a couple. Can you agree on kids, and how to raise them? Can you agree on spending habits, how to manage in laws, and how your individual life goals can be met, together? If you can get there, then while I can’t say it’s definitely a sign from God that you two are meant to be together, I’d like to think God would be fine with marriage, as well as you and this man going physical whenever you two would want. I have a friend who was married and divorced 3 times before I got married. At the time it seemed women would flock to him and flock away from me. But now that I have been married for over 30 years, I wouldn’t trade his “success” with my failure with women. Being married to the same women is comfortable. I would imagine having 3 ex-wives is more “exciting” but I prefer being comfortable

I was contacted by an old friend from 20 years ago from church who was in my same circle of friends. I married one of the friends in our group 20 years gone by I am divorced to his friend because he was not the o ne my ex was a false man who played a spiritual person and soon enough our marriage problems has been exposed. He was not the man I thought he was now take count that when I met my ex I was a baby Christian and trusted him instead of trusted God. Our marriage was not right things God knew that I needed to get out from but I stalled thinking God could change him. He didn’t want God to change him he was satisfied of who he was so he left. Now a year later after our separation almost divorce completed my past friend of 20 years reaches out to talk and later down the line tells me that he always felt I was the one that he let slip away because he wasn’t aggressive enough and the timing wasn’t right. We began long distance dating. I was in Florida and he still lived where I lived once. Time went by and we fell for eachother it was a soulmate connection and we couldn’t get enough of eachother. We would spend endless time talking on the phone. After 11 months we decided to come closer so we could start to date like normal people do. So I moved closer since I had family not to far away from where he lived but it was still 3.5 hours away. We met up a couple of times and I saw in us that we had to much hurt still in from our pats lives that even if we wanted to be together it wasn’t the right time. God wanted to heal us both since we both had 20 years of baggage to heal from. I couldn’t see it and couldn’t or wouldn’t understand it I was stubborn and thought he was tricking me to call it quits after so much passion and caring and everything he did for me when I was stuck trying to get on my feet. I took it for granted I pray for him because he is with great past issues from childhood they needs healing AB di I’m getting over still from my past 20 year painful marriage but I know that this man is probably the one but we need healing, we haven’t spoken in a while and my heart can’t stop thinking about him. So I wfm for prayers please for guidance from God. This man of my past that I care deeply for had changed my life to make it right again with Jesus my savior. I pray that we both get the healing we need and that one day Gods will maybe be together the way it should be. Thank you 🙏🏼

I’m giving this up to God. Finding a man in his masculine energy isn’t something I want to do. You are absolutely right we should be celebrating one another.

Things got crazy when I stopped praying for God to send my husband and started praying for God to make me the wife my future husband needs me to be. It’s been beautiful so far trying to figure out what was truly my heart’s desire vs God preparing me for my future marriage.

Bad experiences with many so called single "church women" over the majority of my life thus far. Haven't been back to a church's singles ministry in years because of it. Been through many trials, but now in mid-40s, I'm not placing anymore elevated hope in God's selection of a mate although I've been given "prophesies" of a wife being prepared for me. Forget that. Made my peace with God in being content with remaining a bachelor for the rest of my natural life and enjoying the peace, quiet and freedom it brings!! If God brings her then He will let me know. Until then, I happily pursue God's artistic purpose for me!! Peace y'all!!!

Honestly (in my experience) some homeschool and Christian groups put too much pressure on people wanting to be friends before dating. Older people, just because we're talking doesn't mean we want to date. We don't know eachother well enough to answer that. And men, stop being afraid of women calling you our friend. It's ok to be in the friend zone sometimes. We need to make sure that you are a safe person that we like before we date you.
