When you meet someone and fall in love with them fast, it is very easy to trick yourself into thinking they are "the one" that God has chosen for you, and totally ignore all the red flags that come after that. Please do not fall into that trap like I did. Get into Gods word, ask God if He wants you to marry that person, and wait for a strong answer. Then listen to that answer even if it is no. It will save you from a lifetime of regret.

Sara Stitt I understand your concerns completely. I personally would suggest strengthening your prayers and conversations with God. Early on when I meet people, I ask God to reveal who they are to me and who I am to them...and he does. I ask him to make it clear so that there is no doubt or room for misunderstanding. I hope this helps...peace to you! 🖤

But he he kept contacting me and just wouldn’t leave me be... I asked him for over a year and a half to just move on and leave me alone. He destroyed my life.. and I let him. Now I’m trying to find myself again and I need a lot of help to get through everything. He’s in a new relationship and now I feel like I miss him. What does that even mean? I like your comments, I believe everyone's story is different (someone I know got married within a month they first met with her now hubby on a bus, then a couple who met on a dating app and married within four months of meeting having proposed on their second date). I trust God is writing my love story too with whom will love and accept me of who I am with my imperfections and vice versa while he is helping to grow as singleton). When one of my friends and I met we hit it off as if we known each other for ages and we are still friends, and another example when my best friend and I met we both thought of each other the same way i.e. I don't think I will get on well with this girl' but we're like sisters to this day - why the same won't happen for relationships formation 😮 There's so much of 'do this, don't do this, be this, don't be this'. I'm like are we all supposed to be exactly the same, how about our uniqueness and differences?

When god does not want you with someone, these unexpected things will happen: 1. God will often lead you to date someone to show you that he doesn’t want you with this person 2. God will often let you both experience a fading infatuation when he does not want you with someone 3. God will let you see a future with this person that is undesirable to you 4. He will sometimes let other people encourage you to be with this person to highlight how much you still really don’t like this person 5. He will confirm that this person will make a great spouse one day...just not for you

Well that sounds right, but we have free will. Most people will go on one date at least to then gain discernment about the person. If you don't date, how on earth will you know if the person could be right for you or not?! I went on a date with a man recently. I asked God to not even let the first date go ahead if I would be wasting my time and investing myself for more heartbreak, but it did go ahead and yet the relationship didnt work out. We didn't get second date even though we'd been talking for weeks. So I guess God did save me from long term heartbreak that could have been worse had we continued the relationship, but I was still devastated and I still had that first very long date with him.

That is too simplistic. God brings many people around and often its our poor human choices that cause the stumble. I'm older and have encountered men who fake their faith, who are truly, evil under their fake coverings, men willing to attend church with me only to find out their wife works and lives in another state. So I am not dating. Took me a lifetime to get it...I'm to be alone.

At first I wanted to give up but he kept on saying we have a connection and we have to report it to GOD so to let him know that we have met. We now can't imagine life apart from each other. Also would like to have a man with who to share mutual happiness and grow in faith together (I leave it to God, in my prayers I always ask to meet my spose when I'm ready for the one and when he is ready for me )I'm 24 and have no man in my life for 4 years and people find that very strange. I'm very beautiful, and godly woman, with amaizing lifestyle so everyone put me pressure (friends and family) and sometimes I feel like something is wrong with me bc I'm the only one who's not in relationship... Any advice how to deal with this ? How did you prayed for your current partner's? Maybe I should change something. Thank you. God bless you and fill your life with love and joy ❤️

Yep, rushing doesn't work for marriage. Learned that the hard way. Was scared about this video, but it turned out OK. I think I have a bad habit of "projecting" what I WANT in a husband onto someone, when in reality that man is not like that in any way! And then when you meet someone who you think does NOT have the qualities you are looking for, but you find out through getting to know them that they actually have the qualities that you NEED, and didnt even know that you needed! What a surprise! GOD knows what we Need for a kingdom-glorifying marriage, even when we dont know ourselves! HOW COOL is that?

Most of my family did support the relationship and yet, I still wasn’t excited nor did I feel happy or at peace about him. He had the right biblical qualities and great personality, but I wasn’t physically attracted to him. Never did grow to have chemistry with him. Lord knew I was only settling! Praise God for stepping in to redirect me to what Is better for me!

I had a relationship where first two points fit exactly. My ex (also a believer) tried to do the right thing when he suggested to split up (because eventually and factually infatuation ceased...). I wasn't mad at him. I was though at God. It took me at least two years to get rid of bitterness and to stop being offended at God for allowing the relationship in the first place although he knew that at the end of the road there was a dramatic heart break awaiting... God taught me a lot and unfortunately I didn't understand it unless I hit the ground. In the bible it says, God hurts and God heals/binds up. Sounds paradox, I know. Still can not figure that out completely. What I know for sure though: God is still good and he was the one to carry me through and to save me from depression. Call it blind faith, I don't care. I just know what I know and I do love my Lord now more than before. 🥰

I finally recognized that until I prepared myself to give someone the best version of me, the cycle of disappointment would only continue. It was 2 years into this process that I met the person I was looking for. She is the love of my life. Our relationship requires a lot of work and it is the second most important relationship in my life. Thank you Lord for giving me the wisdom to humble myself. 20 years in June 2021.

The very first time Adam saw Eve he knew that she was the one. So love at first sight does exist. It's about making a conscious choice to commit to that union. Adam learned about Eve after they were married. Both people must keep God first for the marriage to work. God is not the author of confusion so He will not make you feel that way. Attaching emotionally to every one you date was never in God's plans. If He wanted us to date many or several people before marriage He would have given Adam many options to choose from, because he most certainly could have done that but He didn't. It's man's idiology and our social acceptance that have been impressed on us over time to accept the concept of dating many to find the one.

Adam didn’t choose eve god chose eve for Adam after placing him in the garden with specific instructions to follow, after this was accomplished god said it is not good for a man to be alone , he create eve especially for Adam , when Adam was ready not before ! Also you cannot fully love someone before knowing them because covenant love is sacrificial , hence why god says husband love your wife as Christ love the Chruch , with all its flaws and mistake > it’s the agape love that’s needed in a union not the Eros ect . Marriage covenant is for life it’s not something to be rushed

It was back in 2018 i dated a person. I really thought this would end up in marriage. But No. It didn't. Slowly slowly i saw the fading infatuation from his side. God began showing me the future with him and by seeing those, i wrote in my diary that, "This guy will make my life miserable". But at the same time i couldn't leave him too for my love was so much for him. His family knew our relationship and they were in support of us. When it was 3 days away from 2 months he himself said to me that this won't work out. And he decided to leave and i let him go. That separation had crushed me to the core. I asked God, why did you let me date him if he wasn't the one?. And it was that time, when God taught me a valuable lesson, that, He has always prepared for me the best and there is no need of me going and searching it around. It will come to me in right time and every gift that comes from Him is always perfect. But when i go as per my decision, then i should take a U-turn and come back to the same place that God had placed me in that particular season. Our God is our Father. And that's the reason he disciplines us.

I think sometimes we forget that we are in control of our own thoughts, emotions, desires and feelings. We are not robots only feeling what God wants us to feel, liking who God wants us to like etc. We meet someone, fall in love and often times do not seek God's guidance on if we should proceed with the relationship or not. It is not that God allowed us to fall in love with someone. We did that because we're human beings with emotions and feelings. If only we rely not on our own feelings and more on God's wisdom and direction, because He knows the future- we don't, then inspi of how strongly we feel towards someone we can avoid heartbreak.

Aren’t you supposed to go find her? She is waiting to be found but if you are waiting also how will you both meet? Proverbs 18:22 👉🏾He who finds a wife👈🏾 finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord. That is my interpretation of the scripture. What are your thoughts?

Keep up the good work Mark. It's great to see how much the channel has grown. This video really hits home for me. Took someone after a year of serious dating to tell me they didn't like me. I tried to have honest conversations along the way to see if it was the case, but they always would say things were good. We even took our time as friends before we dated, yet for some reason she told me she really liked me and wanted to take things further. Really hurt me in the end, and on top of that, It wasn't until 6 months after we broke up where I told her she needed to tell me the reason so that I could avoid mistakes in future relationships she actually told me the reason. You have to be willing to be hurt in relationships and it is really hard.

I strongly urge anyone watching this to read Matthew 22:36-40 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” If love was a 'feeling' like it's talked about in this video, then why would God command it? You can't just make a feeling happen, feelings are reactions or responses or conclusions. Love is a CHOICE. It's something you have to do willingly. Back in biblical days there was arranged marriages, men and women would marry as young as 14 years old or so. The sort of love you're taught on TV and pop culture is false. You have to be taught love, thats why people from broken homes usually don't know how to love someone. Don't sit there hoping for a feeling or emotion to guide you into what you choose to do with your life. Satan can put feelings on to you through a spirit of death. If you've got sin in your life, maybe you're lusting for someone else and you're not sure you love your partner anymore. The spirit of death can bring you depression, anxiety, anger, suicidal thoughts, self harm, bitterness, envy, hate. ect. ect. If you don't know how to love somebody you need to be taught how to love, and that is only possible through relationship with jesus. Learn how God loves you and you'll find a greater love than you've ever thought possible. You'll see how Jesus loves you and loves your partner. You'll be able to share in that love. Put God first, not yourself, not your relationship and you will find peace.

Lovely video😊 right now I'm trying to build a relationship with God so that he can teach me how to love others the way he loves me. I actually really love singleness; I see no point to rush anything. The way I see it is that God has a lot of time so why would he want me to rush anything?
