Does roller lid & rollback needs to have ceramic coating? If yes, should I have it installed first before undergoing a ceramic coating?

I can’t say it NEEDS to have it but yes those covers oxidize and grey out like everything else so it’s definitely helpful and beneficial to ceramic coat it & no you can have your detailer coat that when they are coating the vehicle 👍🏻

Great Video! I also have vinyl trim around my tires on my truck. Is the ceramic coating applied to the trim? Or how do you protect the trim from fading when my truck sits in the sun all day?

Thank you for watching! 😃 yes ceramic coating can be applied to the trim to prolong its life so it doesn’t fade as quickly. However if it’s already faded, there is a product called solution finish which you can find on Amazon and apply to restore and protect the trim as well.

It actually depends on which coating, some don't work too well on plastic. You also get dedicated coatings for leather or alcantara.

Out of curiosity the interior is blue on this truck? Great job, I wish you guys were in Miami

Yes the interior is blue, it’s a special option when you get the “recaro” seat package. Oh yea we are San Diego based. Thank you for watching

@@OQDetailing Yes, I know I like the Recaros in black but they are not available unless you are lucky to get the R. They looked darker on your video, I am ordering a Raptor and divided on the decision to get the blue recaros or standard

@@DanielDiaz-ut9lc oh okay I see, Honestly at first I wasn’t sure about the blue seats/interior either but since I do maintenance on the truck regularly I can say they actually are super cool and nice. For me I would chose them over the black but it also depends what color you get for the exterior paint. Either way, Raptors are awesome 😎 I would love to own one myself.

How long does it last? Before it starts to fade and need another coat? What would you prefer for front bumpers and rims as far as helping out with chips from rocks and road debris? You can do the engine bay as well!??

3-5 years depending on the maintenance and environment. For rock chips I would recommend getting paint protection film, ceramic coatings don’t help with that

Depends on the coating and how you treat it. Never put your car through a machine wash or use those brooms at self washes, ceramic coated or not. If you want it to last then you have to wash it with ceramic friendly shampoos.

Nice job. Paint prep is 85% of the process and can make or break the results.
