5 Reasons Why Project Management Mentorship Is ESSENTIAL For Success

PMs run into situations they’re never encountered before on a daily basis. We’re required to learn new things all the time to get our projects one step closer to the finish.
We often have questions about how to approach a particular problem, or how we should manage our time and resources. When we do need help, it’s usually for a situation playing out in real-time.
In order to gain the necessary skills and mindset for effective project management, it’s essential to have mentors in our lives.
A mentor can be defined as a person with knowledge and experience in a particular area, that advises and teaches a less experienced, often younger person in a similar role.
I was lucky enough to have a great mentor during my first few years in the project management world, and I rely on many of the lessons I learned from him to this day, over a decade later.
If you’re new here, my name is Patrick and in this video, I’ll be outlining five ways that mentorship is essential for performing and growing as Project Managers, including how my own mentor impacted me and the principles I practice when mentoring others through PM Problems.

    It doesn’t matter educated you are, there is only one thing that can make you a project manager. That is you must have a complete understanding of what you are undertaking. You mate have a very good mouth but until you can completely understand what you are trying to accomplish. That is why a lot of projects fail to accomplish what they want for to accomplish
