When I first started shooting film, I didn't know what I was doing. Through my adventures over the last years, I have discovered so much. My passion for 120 film and 35mm films such as kodak portra 400, kodak portra 800, kodak portra 160, fujifilm 200c, and pro 400h. I love my mamiya 645 pro, and my bronica SQ-AI. I love the slow process is as well as the colors! I find digital to be too sterile.

Yes! The colors kill! So dang good. And I’ll take my amazing 15 shots of 645 over 300 digital any day

I just love the feeling
I just started, im 22 , southern guy, and I just shot my 2nd roll of portra 400, that I took with me on my Wyoming trip to a rodeo, but let me tell you when I got those scans back from my first roll, the excitement of seeing how good the landscape and dog , and photos of my dad turned out , was a big serotonin release and is helping me get out of the house because I've been really really down lately for over 6 years and the living in the moment vibe has disappeared but having my piece of junk canon fbt and taking a moment to "get that memorable shot" with my dad or my dog made me realize that I may be on the other side of beliefs/political views of how the world is turning (im conservative) , but I can still enjoy the life I have and enjoy the moments I make with my people and earth's beautiful blessings.

Wonderful story! Yes, it is totally a rush to see those conversions happen and turn your shot you didn’t know was gonna turn out into something great!
There is an esoteric reality in shooting film, which escapes the digital realm, it's also probably the same reason why I love reading - real books, with pages I can turn. The intimacy of using an analogue film camera, and studying the view out in front of you as you prepare to shoot film - is a disciplined adventure in reality. Its completely alien to the realm of digital photography, digital photography has a defensive (or offensive, depending on who you ask) mechanism built into it, a safety net if you will - there's a delete button, there's also a false comfort in being able to just continue shooting - shots, until you think or believe you actually got the shot you want. With film its very different, you need to be there in the moment (as you put it) fully and completely, film is immersive and thrilling in ways that digital can never deliver or pretend to be. i have been shooting film for several years since the day i fixed my grandfather's rollei xf35.In fact the camera was broking several times after then but now it has gone through many trips with me when it's fully fixed.I also bought few other SLRs and captured photos.

I have two Pentax k1000's, I keep one loaded with color film and one with black and white. And I absolutely love shooting with the k1000. You're right there is just a certain vibe with film. And also I definitely agree that shooting with film made me a better photographer overall. Thanks for the video! Very cool!
