#brevitejumper #camerabag #35mm
The gear in this video includes using the brevite jumper camera bag. I love that bag. I also use the sony a7iii as my main camera. that has been a workhorse for me for the last 3 years. Lenses for that digital camera are the Tamron 28-75 2.8 and the Tamron 17-28 2.8. really love those lenses. For film cameras I am carrying the Mamiya 645 pro and a Minolta point and shoot. I shoot with portra mostly and today I am using Portra 800. I just switched to the Moment variable ND filters and really dig those. My favorite audio devices at the moment are the Tascam DR-10L and a Rode video micro. Awesome audio from those. I absolutely love the webill S from Zhiyun. I use the DJI mavic pro 2 which sadly I couldn't fly in this video! I love peak design stuff and I use their straps, clips, and anchors in this video too!

Just subbed! I'd love to hear about your drone and it's application in your work. I've been wanting one but still on the fence as it seems a little gimmicky??? I guess?

Will, this was a cool slice of your photo life, so I loved it. And we've already talked about the Mamiya 645 Pro in a previous video you did (as I told you then, its one of my favourite cameras / I own 3 of them) but I just want to touch on one thing with you. As far as orientation goes how do you handle that with the Mamiya when you are deciding to shoot landscape or portrait mode? Are you using an 'L' bracket or ball head or a combination of the two. Also I purchased the same drone you have in this video, just before the covid-19 screwed everything up back in December of 2019, was scheduled to get my pilot's license soon after (you need one in Canada, if the drone weighs more than 250gms) but the classes were cancelled due to covid-19. So its still sitting in the box it was shipped to me in, and remains unopened, unused, but the question I have is two fold, are flying the drones regulated in the States as they are here in Canada (here it's controlled Federally) but what about there, is it State by State or is it also controlled Federally, and do you require any special licensing in the States, as we do here in Canada?

Yes! I know the 645 pro is the best! It’s not hard to shoot it in either mode handheld. I rarely use the thing on a tripod but I do have a ball head, As for the drone! That’s a number. We only need a license if you are using it for money. Which I guess I technically am, but I don’t have a license at this time. I wanted to get one but just havnt done it yet! Haha I should do that!

@@film_friends I have too many favourite cameras, but the Mamiya 645 Pro and Pro TL are in my top 10. Oddly enough I won't shoot it handheld if its below 1/80 of a second. So I use an Arca Swiss type long 'L' bracket with a quick release plate on a small ball head which I attach to a mono-pod or tripod. So then licensing for the drone in the States is handled by each state or is it also like here done federally? Here in Canada if you have no license - then you can't fly a drone that weighs more than 250gms period, or if you are caught flying it with out a license the fines start at $10,000.00 Canadian and go up from there, just ask Peter McKinnon about how many fines he's racked up in Canada, I think he even posted a number of videos covering the fines he's had to pay. Hence why my drone is still unopened...lol.

That’s a silly fine! I get not in national parks and stuff but yeah that’s crazy. It’s federal here. They don’t really enforce it unless it’s national parks

@@film_friends The fines were enacted to prevent and stop idiots from flying their drones in and around airports, you would be surprised at the problems that most airports in Canada were facing at the start of the drone craze. There were many idiots and I use the term loosely, that thought it was perfectly normal to fly their drone along side a 747 as it was taking off or landing. Mercifully none of the drones got sucked into any of the engines, to cause any mid air collisions or any other major catastrophes. Now each drone sold in Canada has a unique IRF transponder that has to be registered with Transport Canada before its able to be unlocked in order to be allowed to fly with the owner/licensed pilot.

To my knowledge, that flight data is built into the drone, the airports here have geofencing that won’t let the drone take off or enter their space.
