Khabib’s is a perfect example why it's always good to respect people and not talk shit burning bridges. We all know many fighters would love to help Khabib out as he's a class act. I'm just gonna say it. Conor would have a hard time getting top fighters to fight for him if he did a similar thing. It's just a good example you don't have to be poor in character to be rich in the pocket.

The UFC’s sources for recruitment seem to be other promotions and local tournaments. TUF, Contender Series and Dana White Looking for a Fight are like mini ufc events designed to prep prospects for the UFC Way of managing fighters. Taken as a whole, it is unrealistic to think that such a biased system of recruitment will find “the toughest guy.” On the contrary, it’s a perfect system for finding docile, submissive (to Dana) personalities willing to sign oppressive contracts. But perhaps all professional sports do that. I dunno. But I do know this: The Tuffest guy in the world can’t be found on TUF, While champions of “The World” are routinely found there.

@Wildcard With a blank cheque you can hire the best, and yes, they keep investing. I have been doing business with the Arabs for more than 10 years. Its not about the money spent, its about the achievement. In 5 years, the best fighters will be fighting with Eagle FC, that's their plan, trust me Dana, said himself, Khabib has serious money backing him.

In my opinion alone, Kabib's legacy of battle, brings to our world, a breakthrough, cultural, ideological and practical. Cheers to the new generation !, the base is the floor. Internalize, with love and desire.

It’s all good and fun but it’s just not on the same level and also hardly anyone watches it compared to men. He isn't. That's base pay. As a champ, he should also be getting a share of the PPV, so he's probably making a couple million USD, and he could have made a lot more if he was actually selling his fights. His fight with Gane was possibly the biggest HW fight in recent history and neither him nor Cyril did any promo worth a damn.

I respect Ngannou and his mission. I have serious doubts about any business out of Russia certainly when it comes to sports and entertainment. The KHL is a mess in Russia, all sorts of stories about owners bringing AK-47s into dressing rooms, paying players in brown paper bags of cash (and stealing it back later) or not paying them at all. That combined with the massive uphill battle against a ESPN backed UFC then I like their chances less and less. Khabib doesn't have a billion dollars (online worth about 40 million) so I'm not sure what makes you think they have unlimited capital to dump into this. I'll also note that Eagle FC declined to release their payouts from their Miami show but lets be real it's in that very low end of 8-12K.

I think that an awesome incentive for great talent / good name fighters to join EFC would be to offer them a piece of the pie. As in stock. Make them partial owners ,even if it's a tiny margin. Not only will they get a promise of money , but they'll feel much more invested in insuring the company succeeds. Regardless, I wish Khabib and the EFC the best.

Khabib has a lot of wealthy backers and friends. He could actually give the UFC a run for their money if he plays his cards right.

Gonna be hard to pull away most of UFC talent as most are under contract and young fighters moving up are aiming at the belt! Becoming an Eagle FC champion just isn't the same as becoming a UFC champion for the foreseeable future. I do think EFC will eventually become a great place for fighters from all over the world, but it aint gonna happen overnight.

This is exactly what Dana didn't want. If Francis signs with Khabib, you can be sure that many other fighters will follow suit. The UFC needs some competition.

Despite Khabib being my all time fav fighter & my hope that EFC rivals UFC, at this point I doubt Francis goes there. It would be such a step down for the best HW on the planet right now. Like it or not, the UFC is where every fighter (including Khabib at one point) wishes to be. EFC is not even at Belators level right now, not even close. It will take a while, if ever, for them to rival the top two promotions.
