    "Never stop learning" ... I went back to college years ago. On the first day of school I was feeling embarrassed while entering the classroom because I was older than the majority of my classmates. Then I noticed there was an older gentleman sitting on the other side of the room. A couple of weeks went by and I decided to sit next to him and to introduce myself. I was so amazed by him. He was so interested in learning, he was the best student in that class and he was in his late 60s!! I thought to my self: "I want to be like him, I don't ever want to stop learning".

    Very good advice! This video makes me appreciate my Mom so much! My elegant mama has all these good traits. She was always learning something--she taught herself several languages and at age 50 decided to take up violin and within 10 years was performing in a symphony. She always hiked and rode horses, trained wonderful dogs, and was always heavily involved in community projects. She still handles everything with good humor and grace even though she's 96 now and needs round the clock nursing assistance. She was a fantastic role model! I also think her good attitude and constant self-development are what kept my wealthy Dad interested in her for over 50 years. He was really proud of her!

    I like to spray perfume on my clothes. Because of laws that protect fragrance manufacturers from sharing “trade secrets,” almost every perfume sold commercially is crammed with chemicals that aren’t listed individually on the product packaging. As for home fragrance, I purchase pure essential oils add them to a spray bottle with distilled water. Makes a natural product that helps cleanse and freshen the air.

    @mindshare I didn't make it thru the first 3 times either. But what DID work for me was to take each area and break it down to bite size pieces. For exampke, instead of taking all your clothes out at 1 time, try working on your closet for 10 minutes. Get a box, set your phone for 10 minutes and go through your clothes, what you don't like, doesn't fit, etc. put into box. Come back to it the next day and try again. Some days I did 10 minutes, other it took 30 or 1 hour, so it at your pace, try on items make new outfits...It works!

    I wish I had a dollar for every time someone ( male or female) has said to me” ( this is actually a quote from my sister to me ) why have you had so much dental work? You have a beautiful smile. EXACTLY!!! I’ve had root canals + crowns only to have the teeth yrs later fall apart. Enter the world of removal + sinus lift+ bone grafts+ implants, tissue grafts, + crowns. Painful? You bet! Expensive? Beyond belief! Worth it? Every cent! I do not have a ton of $$$ ! I’m literally paying off work I just had Two teeth broke off at the gum so back in the saddle again! The same lab( the owner personally makes my crowns ) for 20-+ yrs! I’ve heard more times than I can count” well if that’s how you want to spend your money- then so be it. “ I have priorities!”! Well so do I! Put on a beautiful simple dress( I like Ann Taylor) great little sling back heels, makeup done well, hair nicely cut etc then open your mouth with broken, chipped or missing teeth- guess what you now look cheap+ trashy. The term” elegant” just went out the window! Clean moderate makeup, expensive clothes that look it( I go online for sales) nice nails( no crazy long, skulls painted on them, nails, classy keep it classy! To men that are worth it- classy is sexy. Trashy is trashy. ❤️

  • @dabarefootbombshell

    @dabarefootbombshell

    3 жыл бұрын

    Her advice on spraying fragrance on the pulse points only is not universal. It depends on how hydrated your skin is, the concentration of the scent, and the weather that determines how much and where on the body you can spray. Most luxury fragrances come from the Middle East and those scents have a potent oil concentration which is why you can get away with those little dabs. Roja Dove the leading perfumer in the world says a lady should spray anything that is in motion from skin to scarves. You shouldn't use perfume on your neck though because the alcohol can age the delicate skin in the neck area.

There have always been people who attack others, because of jealousy, or just plain meanness, but it is intensified 1,000 percent on all media platforms. And it will definitely reflect what kind of person you are, whether you are hygienic and a smart Lady he used to tell us. An elegant Lady knows how to managed their emotions, not defensive at all, you got me there bulls eye!
