Did it in 2021, I had a canvas tent provided by Sanparks each night to myself due to Covid lockdown restrictions 😆, cannot wait to hike it again

That sounds wonderful! Those canvas tents were still up in 2022, but some of them were starting to look a little battered.

@@RoughingItWithRuth I can imagine, quite a few them in April 2021 were already looking battered with a few zips not working at all.

Hi Ruth your content is really helpful i think i watched all your vids we doing the Otter Next week does the in reach device come in handy on this trail and do you know where we can get gas cannisters near the trail and also where do you get gpx files to load on a garmin sport watch?

Hi! Thanks for watching! I like taking the Garmin Inreach with and sending my friends and family back home a link to a custom URL (MapShare) where they can see what the Inreach has tracked on trail. They can also message that web page, which shows up on the Garmin Inreach, and I can read it out on the trail. There are spots of cellphone reception on the Otter Trail as well. Basecamp can convert other types of tracking files to GPX format for Garmin watches (you can find files online often). You can also use a free online converter if you need to change KML files to GPX.
