I made this and for those who like instant pot…. I put the whole thawed out meal with the tortellini in my ip at high pressure set to zero minutes (you know if you know) and then release immediately. Perfecto!

Lol, I love the instant pot. I have two of them! 😂beans, they’re absolutely amazing for making beans from dry! Made some white beans in my instant pot and used your taquito recipe for my kids after school snack for today. Replaced the chicken with mashed beans. I put them in my Breville smart oven air fryer. They were sooo yummy! I was hoping to make one for now and one for later. What I learned is that I need to make way more because none of them made it to the freezer! None, lol 😂

My goodness! I watched this when it first came out, and this morning I got notice of a sale on pork roast. They are smaller, but perfect for me, I can share with a neighbor😄. I bought 5. Thanks ladies

Love your enthusiasm!! I live in far eastern Canada where the price of groceries these days has skyrocketed. Buying in bulk or scoping out the sales is the way to go. Freezer meals, slow cooker or otherwise, is an easy, convenient way to meal plan and to portion out grocery items to prevent spoilage and food waste. Who can afford to waste food these days?! I’ve joined the 101 Club too!

The Sheet Pan meals are great and great fun. I'm looking out for Air Fryer Meals because I just got an Air Fryer over the Christmas Holiday. I know what I like to have in it, but I'd like to try some creative meals (Sharla) so you need to get one too! LOL Or this may be were Kristie excels? Even quick lunches! I enjoy all of your videos anyway!

I do the sheet pan meals in my air fryer because I can cook outside without turning the oven on. We even carry our air fryer in the RV!!

Oh sharla Sad to hear about your instant pot mess! Ut happened to me too... but only once! Now i keep a kitchem towel handy to catch that mess during release haha

Love you ladies! You have great ideas. But here is one for you--think about using already frozen veggies in your recipes, especially in slower cooker recipes. Here is a quote from a CTVNews article from earlier this year: "In most cases, fresh foods tended to cost more than frozen foods per 100 grams. At Loblaws, frozen green beans cost $1.10 per 100 grams compared to $1.76 per 100 grams for the fresh equivalent. At Sobeys, both fresh and frozen green beans cost $1.00 per 100 grams. And at Metro, frozen green beans cost $0.96 per 100 grams compared to $1.10 per 100 grams for fresh ones." Commercially frozen veggies are also great quality as commercial freezing procedures are much more likely to retain good taste and texture than home freezing. They require no prep and and have no waste. And, yes, you can put commercially frozen veggies in the slow cooker. I have even used them in sheet pan dinners, right from frozen--just involves getting the pan hot first, and cooking them a bit longer. Keep up the great work in keeping families well fed with healthy, affordable and easy dinners!

A lot of times we do - especially if it calls for mixed vegetables, but I don't think I've seen frozen chopped onions or frozen chopped green peppers st the store. We usually use frozen broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, Brussels sprouts and green beans. They hold up well and you're absolutely right - they work well in the slow cooker! Great tip! Thanks for the note about it. :)

Thank you for your kind words Kristina! I use Crock Pot liners for things that are going to stick to the slow cooker (like something super cheesy or something like hashbrown casserole). It makes cleanup so much easier! I like the Reynolds brand. Do I get extra boujie points if I own aleae salt ( the volcanic red sea salt from hawaii) ? Lol 😆 it really is that good! We lived in hawaii 3 years and these 3 ingredients are exactly what you get at any restaurant! PRO TIP! buy the largest roast they have that will fit in your slow cooker... cook it alllllllll up... then you can bag up the leftovers once cooked for many many more recipes...like Christie said with the rice etc! I can fit a 9 pounder in mine! But not a 9.2 pounder! ( ask me how I know!) 😂

I don't use them for everything, but ALWAYS use them when it's something that's going to stick to the sides like a hash brown casserole or something super cheesy.

I only use my instant pot to cook meat or beans in bulk. I’ve never made a recipe in it.

Love your meal ideas! Not recipe related, the white/blue lighting in the kitchen really washes you both out. I’m sure it’s not worth replacing them just for that but next time the bulbs need replaced go for a warmer light. 🙂

That's good feedback! They are fancy lights that we can adjust the hue so maybe we can warm them up through the app. I'll check with the "lighting director" aka Sharla's husband.

I'm having trouble adjusting to living with my daughter. I was doing so good filling my freezer then my husband passed away and my daughter moved me in with her and they threw away all my freezer meals,

Oh no. That sounds like many big adjustments at once! I'm so sorry. And I'm sorry for the loss of your husband. It must be very difficult. Maybe see if she would be open to making a few freezer meals together and she can see the benefit of having a few in the freezer for those busy days and you can grow your stacks again from there. Wishing you all the best.

I tried that and no her husband won't eat it I'll adjust but i so enjoyed making freezer meals with y'all they threw away a bunch of my stuff also and decided i couldn't make videos to teach grandson to cook and save money on groceries@@FreezerMeals101
