Hi, Annie. I'm from Brazil and it is a pleasure listening some advice about English grammar from you. I'm a teacher of History here in my country, and I also enjoy learning other nice things: languages and cultures that are many different of mine. Because of that, I have studied ancient Rome for two years in my master degree. One day, maybe, I'm going to be able to speak confident your native language. I can understand, read, and write in English, in most of the time correctly, I think, however speak sometimes seems a nightmare. For that, I really appreciated what you do with us when you teach us. You are always kind and I've been learning a lot with your explanations. Maybe I won't be able to demonstrate my gratitude in a few words, but I have to say: You are such an awesome teacher! Have a great day. I wish you warm greetings from Brazil. See ya.

Thumbs up! Thanks for fixing our usual mistakes. We non native English speakers make those mistakes because we do not use English for 24 hours. We only use our English when we happen to see and meet Foreign visitors or guests and when we are in the English lessons in the classroom. As soon as we are free from the lesson, we don't use English outside in our daily interactions with each other. This is our biggest problem. Using English only in English classrooms or meeting with foriegn tourists. I would like to ask you if how to cultivate a habit of speaking English outside the class and I have to say that once long time ago I tried to speak English with my classmate and it worked out pretty good but that wasn't not everyday. That was only for few days. When you start speaking English outside where English is not spoken at all, you feel embarrassed and discomfort. When you go to the shop, market, school, park or anywhere outside, you speak your native language because they don't know English. When you start speaking English outside, why we get stuck and poor? How to learn to speak English in an environment where English is not spoken at all in public? What to do about it?

Thanks for the question. And I totally hear you. I've had the same challenges in trying to keep up my second language skills when I don't live in the country. One recommendation I have is finding on online speaking partner or a community where you can practice real-world conversations, even on topics that are outside your day-to-day English conversations. This can provide opportunities to engage on topics that are unusual and help you learn how to navigate those experiences with confidence.

But when I turned this video on, I heard your incredible advice and your advice was very good and I understand now.
