    Hello from Brazil! That was a nice video. I was just discussing hand gestures Brazilians use and how much they are not universal, I just came across this video and realized that the gestures you showed involve more than just hands, there is a whole face thing, and in Brazil I am not sure we have those.

    what does it mean when an american moves a hand over the head, moving their wrist? we often have seen it in the show FRIENDS.

    If they move a flat hand in the air over their head, this likely means "over my/his/her head", which is suggesting they think someone has not understood something or has totally missed the point, maybe because the idea was too difficult for that person.

    Or, if they're moving their hand left to right and it's vertical, it means they're waving, like a hello or a greeting.
