This was such fun! I shared it with one of my executive clients in India as a fun way to end class, and I could see him smiling.

Guys you are so famous, becoz our college has assigned us your video to make a group assignment.
Hello from Brazil! That was a nice video. I was just discussing hand gestures Brazilians use and how much they are not universal, I just came across this video and realized that the gestures you showed involve more than just hands, there is a whole face thing, and in Brazil I am not sure we have those.

You mean someone closing both of their eyes at the same time? Or do you mean "winking" (one eye)?

what does it mean when an american moves a hand over the head, moving their wrist? we often have seen it in the show FRIENDS.
@ExtraEnglishPractice
5 жыл бұрын
If they move a flat hand in the air over their head, this likely means "over my/his/her head", which is suggesting they think someone has not understood something or has totally missed the point, maybe because the idea was too difficult for that person.

Or, if they're moving their hand left to right and it's vertical, it means they're waving, like a hello or a greeting.
1:15 so rude
You forgot the most common gesture, the middle finger up.
These women are so cute...
