Get the same brand elevator with the same materials and rebuild it. I’d trust any elevator that can withstand that much explosives and keep standing.
Thinking about the one that fell on the excavator at 8:32, the operator actually made a smart move if watched close. He tuned the vehicle left so the cab would avoid more of the drop, and the structure hit the boom, pushing the cab out of the collapse further. Very smart move, almost certainly saved his rear as the cab didn't get hit. if it had been, the construction material would've gone right through it.

Nothing like a 'group of locals' who decide to undertake demolition work themselves.

Meanwhile, the demolition of the university hospital in Denver was flawless. The crew even had piles of bricks, from the university side, the hospital portion, or the diabetic clinic portion. Found this out when, driving by, I burst into tears. Still not sure why I was crying over my specialty doctor’s office. I pulled over, and, still teary, walked up to the fence. The guy who noticed me just asked if I was a student or patient. The brick sits on my dresser…

In Singapore, all contractors in charge of demolishing buildings will gather together to discuss on what method is the best without causing pollution. When a building is about to be demolished, small excavators equipped with demolition hammers are first brought to the site by trucks. Then a big mobile crane is rented to hoist the small excavators onto the top of the building. As the small excavators start to demolish the building, workers equipped with water hoses will spray water at the debris in order to dissipate heat coming from the demolition hammers hacking at the building. If water is not sprayed to cool down the debris, the rest of the building will catch fire and burn the small excavators and their operators, causing serious injury or even death of the workers on top of the building.
On the building in china where only half of the building fell you can clearly see that the balconies facing the camera had all been jack hammered to create a cut all the way up the building. That would indicate that taking down only half the building was in fact the intention of the demolition crew. The cut was also continued from the balconies down the middle of the corridors all the way to the far side of the building on each floor of the building. That allowed the left half of the building to fall away from the right half without pulling the right side along with it. And that is exactly what happened. You can even see half of the corridor concrete floor remained attached to the right side of the building and can even see the rough jackhammer cut that was made to separate the building in two straight down the central corridors.

Re the Chinese demolition, look at the balconies, on the end, they were cut through, and the building cleaved cleanly down the middle this was an intended result , not an error

It didn’t make it on this particular countdown but back in 2014 or 2015 here in Bakersfield, old PG&E (I’ll have to double check )plant demo went wrong. Safety crew were supposed to have 1000 feet safety space; Several people were hurt from flying debris, including one man losing his leg. The building itself was left there couple of years while the company delt with lawsuits. I live roughly 10 miles away, heard and felt the explosion

those dudes shooting the video of the leaning tower of dallas went from excitment to oh shit FAST
I live in Dallas and was a few blocks away when the implosion started. It was very exciting at first but then once I saw the remaining part still standing and leaning everyone was in shock and awe and plenty of laughter. It really became a wonderful work of art to the skyline before it was destroyed. After that, we all were cursed by covid. 0:47
Funny how the Chinese building boom and bust actually showed footage of Dubai and the Burj Khalifa.
I live in the Dallas area, the leaning tower of Dallas was all over the news outlets like a rare celebrity sighting. 😆

They tried to implode an old arena near me. Only about half of it came down.
Look carefully at the building in China of which only half came down. In particular look at the balconies on the end. Their wall have all been cut from to top bottom. So I'd say the half-destruction was intended.

4:38 I cannot believe they were allowing traffic on the other side of that building. If that building fell accidentally fell the other way there would have been a lot of people killed
Let’s talk about your descriptions. These did not go horribly wrong. No one died. The worst was the hydro lines , but still not horribly wrong.
To demolish a building of any sort and size. Must be accurate and precise to the letter. Otherwise; who ever is doing the job. Can also very easily mess up with the location of the dynamite. And screw everything up in a matter of a few seconds.
When an earthquake knocks them down like here in Mexico City it's not so wow!

I really like those compilations. But what is the point of telling us what we are about to see, when you could just play the video? After hearing in detail what is about to happen, and seeing clips of it.. why would I wanna watch it the second time knowing what’s coming?
PERFESIONAL YEAH RIGHT GOOD LUCK FIXING THE POWER CABLES....................
They have to pay for that excavator though…..
So, if buildings are not demolished properly, they will topple, remain partly intact and won't shred to pieces. I have known this since September 11, 2001.
9:00 he’s actually clearly visible sitting in an excavator, safe and sound.
It always amazes me that people will leave their cars and allow traffic under the assumption that the building will fall as expected. How much trouble is it to move a car?
The elevator withstood 1,100 tons of TNT, did it? Kinda odd since the entire amount of TNT used in the whole implosion was only 4.4 tons.
Wow, the fourth video reminds me of Jurassic Park.
You very much overstated the water tank one in the bonus: you said "right on top of the excavator", which it certainly wasn't. He'd be either dead or about to be.
7:33 In Germany we dont say "oh my god" we say "Glückwunsch" :)
My wife tried to tell me that re moving that structural member was a bad idea.
If u look closely u can actually see where the building was cut or something like that 6:17
8:43 - the narrator actually called a piece of equipment by its right name - an excavator, not a backhoe, or a crane!

If you park or stand within the radius of the structure falling you are a FOOL.
of course he walked away from the excavator as it didnt even touch the cab
Anyone know how much that wrecking ball weighs??
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP'S!
0:42 - the building on the lower left is/was the Texas Schoolbook Depository - the site of one of the worst demolitions - that of JFK 22NOV1963.
Nice
They should have called Fred Dibnah.
Why would you park anywhere near the chimney anyways. Even if it landed where you wanted it to, the debris could fly to where you car is.
Just build your municipality power lines below ground like any other developed country. 🤦♂️ The lawsuit seems to be more import than the so called 'failure' or casualties. 👎

that one in china does look maybe intentional doesn't it? at 6:18, right before it goes down, you can see that the little balcony things on the side facing the camera were definitely already cut right down the center. unless they meant for both halves to come down one after the other maybe?
Cuando los tiera un terremoto como aqui en la ciudad de México no es tan woow!
Looks like Horribly Wrong #1
10:50 sure looks more like Miami than Las Vegas. Once again, the editor just sticks in random shots unrelated to the subject at hand.
The one in China went exactly to plan. You can even see that the balconies have been cut in half. If they planned on bringing it down in one piece they would've bothered
They never watched the expert Fred Dibna
1, 100 TONS. ? That doesn’t seem accurate

Underworld?
Maybe some of these demolitionists need to start asking themselves: what can go wrong here?
Not sure why you show the entire demolition while talking just to show it again in "full" when you show it in full while talking just padding the video out really
Ya I wouldn’t say these went horribly wrong unless some lives where lost or if they brought down the wrong building 😂
Honestly that list was pretty lame.
What about 9/11 and the Twin Towers? The demolition crew didn't even give the occupants any kind of warni-.... an airplane did...wait what????

Don't explain,just play video
12:03: 1,100 TONS of TNT? Maybe 1,100 lbs. 1100 tins would have done more than just take down the hotel. There are proofreaders and editors everytwhere just looking for jobs. Maybe this producer should advertise in the help wanted a little more.
No 3 was planed like this. Nothing was wrong.
