I have been coming back from lung cancer after chemo/radiation/immunotherapy. I have been with Dr. Berry way way back at the beginning. I have followed him on keto/ketovore/carnivore. I am so sure I would not be here if it wasn't for him. However I don't want to trigger him but I have been taking synthetic to get me over the hump of this past abuse I went through. But I was informed of the amounts found in each food in the fashion I have grown to love. Thanks Dr. B.😊❤

I completely agree. We should absolutely get our glycine from real food. However, glycine is sweet to the taste and if you would like a sweet treat on occasion it's not a bad way to sweeten a food. For example I make ice cream with only heavy cream and eggs, but I sweeten it with glycine and allulose. About three teaspoons of each for a whole batch. Just something to think about as an option.

I choose to eat (at a guess) a largely 95/98% animal based diet. I too make occasional ice cream - 1 cup unpasteurized pasture fed heavy cream, 1 cup pasture fed full fat thick greek style yoghurt, 6 egg yokes and 4 heaped teaspoons of glycine. Serves 4. I have also flavoured with vanilla extract. Coffee (2 expresso reduced to a syrup on the stove). Heaped tablespoon of raw unsweetened cacao.

Immediately prior to watching this, I watched one of Dr.Berry's videos from 5 years ago. I have lost count of how many of his other videos in between this timespan I have watched but what strikes me is how consistent and unwavering he has been throughout in his advocation of following a 'proper human diet' in any of its subtle variations. This is in stark contrast, for example, to some You Tube channels 'advising' about the consumption of man-made food and 'longevity' supplements, who often seem to change their views completely about what is and what is not 'effective' in the space of 6 months! Dr.Berry has provided all the convincing I will ever need that food supplements are overwhelmingly a waste of time and money for anyone consuming a proper human diet. In my personal view, he is fast becoming - if indeed he is not already - a legend in his own lifetme.

Love some natural glycine sources. It's actually kinda sweet. The only time I use glycine powder is added to my "carnivore ice cream" I make once or twice a year (eggs, heavy cream, salt, glycine (optional)

I was so relieved to know I'm already getting enough glycine and can just continue NAC and be good (NAC+glycine=glutathione).

I'm still going to take my glycine supplement along with NAC. I want all the glutathione I can get.
