Keep grinding. I was 5’1 back when I was 12 too. The next year when I was 13, I became 5’7. I started touching rim so just keep grinding

I don't know why people think its low when the guy is only 5'1 and look how much higher the rim is. I remember a girl back in 12th grade who is also 5'1 and she can touch the backboard too. very impressive. But the most impressive jump i've seen is a dude named Davith Hort. He had no problem touching the Orange part below the rim easily. And he was only 4'9"

All I can say is that you’re in good progress. I was 5’6 in 6th grade touching the backboard padding, now Im a freshman and I’m 5’9-5’10 and can grab the rim. You have to practice ofc, but just remember your body NATURALLY gets stronger as you get older.

Update: im 5'4 now still 13 year old i can slapp the back board now and i like how it sounds when it make some noise when i slap it

not impressive at all… i was 4’8” and 7 years old with a 9 inch hog in the 3rd grade… i was teased constantly… “donkey boy” “donkey boy”… went through elementary tucking and tapping my bulging just to be normal!

I’m 5’8 and can dunk on 9ft idk if that’s good or bad

I wouldn’t consider it the best because if we add your standing reach should be around 7ft4 to 7ft7 inches you would need at least 23 to 26 inches to dunk it really depends on your age like if you were in between 10 and 14 I would consider it good
