4x4 Snow Recovery on Monache Meadows Jeep Trail

We got a call for an FJ cruiser and a Tacoma that had become stranded on Monache Meadows Jeep Trail after a surprise snow storm. So we built some snow chains and headed up into the Sierra Nevadas to see if we could recover these vehicle's.

Thank you Mark and the IWV Recovery crew for all your help, you all are the best. Great job with this video, you really captured the days work. It was a little melancholy, to to say the least, seeing my son's and my footprints still in the snow from our original hike out of there.

I thought they closed those trails during winter time? Glad you were able to get them out.

They do close the trails during the winter. I'm in contact with the forest service who gave us the okay to go up and get the rigs out.

That's what I thought. Were they stuck pre-closure or did they go in after the trails were closed? @@EmbarkWithMark

@@Motorep146 they where stuck before the trails closed. An unknown snow storm trapped them in.
