For everyone losing their minds over the dogs Matt encountered on this rescue: In rural areas it's not uncommon for dogs to be let out to roam a bit (especially considering some properties are hundreds of acres in size). Matt notifying animal control of the dogs' location (& likely tag info) is ideal as it's quite likely that the owners are within a couple miles of that rescue. Consider how much "roaming" Max & Lady do when they're taken out on a call...if those dogs approached someone hiking nearby and got picked up (as opposed to the people notifying animal control & leaving Max & Lady alone), now you've got a "dognapping" situation! It's obvious those dogs are being cared for by SOMEBODY & animal control will step in if needed.

A local down this thread a ways says he has often been them on that road and that they live not far from where Matt saw them. The dogs are St Bernards and as such, they are in their element and were probably having the time of their lives. It may have been a different story in mid-summer but in this weather they were in no danger even overnight which, considering there was food at home is hardly likely anyway.

Those two Saint Bernards were just out on their own snowy rescue mission; they get calls too. They were on their way back when suddenly they discovered another fellow friendly rescuer. Lizzy is a star and she knows and they all know it but only subconsciously. Once a young man comes and steals her away they will then realize they should have married her while she was available. Rudy I’m talking to you. I know you have a good woman already but don’t take any of those ladies for granted. They may not seem important now and that you have many years ahead and no rush and that’s true but once they are gone they are gone and some young man is not going to wait and then you will be kicking yourself. One day they seem plentiful and everywhere but soon the good ones are gone your possible perfect life will be just average after that. There is no replacement for a wonderful woman by your side.

Aired down to 10psi and had zero issues, then I went 3 for 3 on recoveries. First one was a 2500 Duramax Chevy pulling a three axle toyhauler, then a 2wd Silverado, and finished the week with a 2500 Cummins pulling a 30ft trailer with a four seater razor in the bed. All with a my lil ecoboost 4x4 f150 leveled on 33's!
