    I bet the Tangerine is more useful in its current configuration. Maybe a canvas top and a windshield and a front winch could be added for more recovery work.

    a windshield - even just perspex - is a must. especially if the driver in this case is not even wearing sunglasses. very easy to get injured - a stone or an insect to the cheek is dangerous enough, let alone straight to the eyeball.

    @@ritterkeks I think you're right. I wear glasses so my eyes are all right, but I've had a few bumblebee strikes on my bike at 8-15 mph, and it's a startling impact even at lower speeds. Just the other day I hit a dragonfly. It was disorientating -- WHOMP-FRRRRRR with its wings over my eye. I would absolutely have had wings _in_ my eye if I didn't have my glasses on. I was on a path less than 3 feet wide with nettles on one side and a canal on the other, with water which stays cold enough to be dangerous for almost the entire year. So I guess I guess I have a very good reason not to get contacts, even though I see much better with them.

    Around 1:55 to 2:00 I noticed that both of Tomtom’s passengers were holding on to the roll cage rails. Might I suggest to put some sort of loops from the one where Colby has his hand to the a pillar one. To reinforce the corner and provide a hand hold.

    How about weaving a strap out of Joshua Tree trunk fibers or daisy chaining 73 zip ties together? Or tie Rhett's hoodie drawstrings to one wheel and his shoelaces to the other wheel. Easy solutions.

  • @joecat101
    @joecat1017 ай бұрын

    You need a solid link from the back of the wrecker to the towed vehicle. I have an idea for it. Utilize the pintle hook. Make a 2 piece sliding square or round tube with holes drilled to make it length adjustable, add the pintle hook to attach it the the wrecker. Than make a couple adapters that can strap on to the diff, or bumper & one to go into a 3 in hitch reciever on the towed vehicle. No more damage, and no need for braking or an anchor vehicle.

Right after I rebuilt it, tried to chirp the tires (like an idiot) by popping the clutch. Heard a bang, so I got on the freeway to head home a couple miles away. Tire and axle shaft flew off and left me grinding my way to a stop on the side of the road riding on the backing plate. Still remember watching my axle shaft and tire role past me! Fun times, needless to say a Dana 44 with Superior axle shafts and a spool solved that problem forever!

    That was a great technical tow. I've noticed as I've watched your videos that there are many times you don't have all the equipment you need, each rig should have a full kit of ropes. straps basic tool kit and so on and the kit should be re set after each job so your always ready to go. I'm enjoying your vid's🏴‍☠

    Matt -Just an Idea- Growing up for pulling truck out that had no brakes, we used a chain inside a 3" or 4" drill pipe tied to each vehicle hitch or solid tie down point on each. Tow truck was used as the breaks.

    There should be a rubber brake hose that feeds off to both rear wheel cylinders. Clamp that hose, and you'd get front brakes to use. (for future info)

    I know you guys know what you are doing, but I always wonder why you never have what you need to make a job go smother. Like a strap to hold the rear axles in. I think it's time to outfit the wrecker and have a check list and go over it at the end of ever job so it's ready for the next one. This is just me thinking out loud.
