You do need to remove the crawl control because you need to be able to tuck the o e m plug back up into the headliner

It doesn’t look like it’s necessary to remove the crawl control panel is it? Just plug the dongar into the mirror and mirror into the dongar?

Yeah, I would just use some double sided tape to hold that adopter in place so it’s out of sight.

What tool kit did you use to remove the plastic trim? Thanks!

I didn't take the off-road control panel off like you did, I just hid everything behind the black strip plastic piece then 3M double sided tape the USB dongle to the black strip plastic piece. Good info on doing it this way though!

Looks like you reinstalled the upper wire cover upside down, leaving a gap between the cover and the headliner. OOPS.

What make and model do you use for rear cam ?

I'm in the market for a dashcam and that model seems to be the best on the market currently, but some reviewers have noted that it requires more power than other dashcams.

I'll update my own comment here and confirm that it does indeed work just fine for the A139 PRO!

Very helpful. Curious as to why Dongar doesn’t list our 4Runners for any of their adapters on their website.

Will Parking Mode still work?

Yes parking mode works but it’s limited to 10 sec since it’s not always powered
