    This was probably the best step by step transmission removal video I have seen on KZread. I worked as an engineer writing procedures to remove and replace components on the Space Shuttle Main Engine and this fellow could have written the remove and replace procedure for GM. Great job and excellent presentation - wish I'd had you working on the Shuttle with me.

    I greatly appreciate the feedback! I definitely try to make the very best instructionals possible. When I see something that hasn't been covered well, I try to make a video the way that I would want to watch it.

  • @dudewecanfixit

    Yes. You will also have to remove the front drive shaft and transfer case.

  • @SyyrYT
    @SyyrYT Жыл бұрын

    Mine has no clearance. No space to let the whole thing down, no space to slide the transfer case off. Can’t even force it out. Gonna have to adjust my torsion bars to move the rear crossmember

  • @dudewecanfixit

    @dudewecanfixit

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes, get the torsion spring compressor tool, relieve the spring tension and pull the cross member with torsion bars intact towards the rear of the vehicle. The torsion bars will fall out of the control arms, so be careful.
