Hi Melissa, it would appear as if your husband has done a Sterling job.

Of all the larger houses advertised online, this, to me, is the best assembled collection of good architectural themes, both inside and out. Beautifully articulated columns and pilasters with a great terrace, magnificent huge door/windows giving a massive yet elegant appearance to the facades. The lines are distinctly horizontal (Louis XVI) and yet the house is not squat despite the size. The interior furnishings are mostly not my cup of tea. But the finish throughout the house is very, very nice. Nothing really overdone. A great house.

I walk past this house every day on my walk to the park and it truly is one of the nicest on lakeshore.

The WOW factor!!! Absolutely gorgeous! I bet the outside looks lovely in winter especially with snow on the conifers!

I lived in this neighborhood for years...this is one of very many beautiful homes, each with its own character and no two alike! I'm not a fan of the décor but enjoy the architecture!

I had a roommate in college who came from extreme wealth and grew up in a mansion like this one in Gables Estate, Florida. He always cried and told me he hated it. His father was rarely around, and when he was home -- he was abusive, dismissive, and a despot. His mother was an alcoholic who snuck other men (younger men) into the residence for late night shenanigans when her husband was away on business. My roommate grew up in extreme isolation, in a place filled with immense emptiness and luxury. His only consolation was one of the maids who smiled at him and was warm towards him; she often prepped his favorite meals and took him to a nearby park to get away as a child. The reason why I mention this is because there is a common misconception that somehow these "materialistically" successful people must have the best life possible while living in luxury. Don't be fooled. My friend and ex-roommate often stated that he envied me when he saw how I would connect with my family while in college ( went to USC). I went home on the weekends to a modest middle class house in a middle class neighborhood in the L.A suburbs to people who actually cared about my existence and loved me. I brought my roommate along at times. Anyhow, on a trip to Florida during my junior year (spring break), we went all over the place to hang out. He actually hated going back to his parents and that mansion. When I tagged along and went to the place he grew up, it was indeed an empty place full of melancholy; a place of superficial obscenity. In sum, luxury is fine --- if that's your cup of tea. But, it means sh*t if you live in it while being utterly miserable and desolate because your family is so effed up....

The little sewing machine is just adorable.

Beautiful. What I like most is the light colors in the house. I don't mind dark woods or furniture as long as it's not the dominate color.

There are some very beautiful homes along Lake Shore Road East.

I love this house because it's luxury beautiful and elegant in it on way and this Canada home is right by the lakeshore.

Lost count of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Love the swimming pool and theater. Gorgeous mansion.

This house is not only huge and elegant, it also transmit feelings, i like it!

Just seeing this in Spring 2024!! What an impressively stunning piece of real estate! I share other similar comments in that I’m not necessarily a big fan of the furniture choices throughout the home and I would never place a laundry room on the 2nd floor of a house. BUT….as for the overall architecture and structure of the property?? The feeling of a CDN WHITE HOUSE as it were?? Truly magnificent as it is luxurious! I’m a big lover of Athenian structures, spindles etc so the exterior structure is simply mind blowing let alone beautiful! Love the gate entrance alone with the majestic white structures tied to it. Between the lush gardens and the fountain structures surrounding them…this property really makes a statement! It’s an absolute tragedy what has happened to Canada and it’s destruction under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Not only can average Canadians no longer even dream of owning such a property or work to purchase this gem of real estate under Canada’s current economic realities but they are now being forced to leave Canada 🇨🇦 all together. Truly sad! Thank you just the same for posting about this very magnificent piece of real estate. 👏🏾👏🏾

The place is really outstanding especially the kitchen. Lots of space for living room. People who will buy this must be a celebrity or someone who enjoys hosting elegant party or someone known in a society who expects frequent visitor
