Tanner Allen is what you are looking for in a baseball player. He will fight every time at the plate and try to get on base either way he can. He doesn’t just hit for power, he is a excellent all around hitter. When he hits the gym hard and puts on some muscle he is gonna be Chipper Jones 2.0! Hail State and good luck Tanner Allen! I saw you took up for CMac the other night on Twitter and stood up for your team mate! Great loyalty to his team mates!

Well I mean in game 1, the walks killed us in the first. Then game 2, Vandy had 10 walks allowed. When you give you that many walks, you’re pretty screwed.

How so? In the 2021 CWS Rodriguez is batting .238 with 1 HR and 4 RBI and 4 SO in 6 games. That's far from "on fire." Granted his batting average is better than the Vanderbilt team batting average of .199 and their 54 combined SO. Looks like we'll see if he "catches fire" tonight.

@@nasshoba from what I seen in the regular season his hitting didn’t impress me at all. So my judgment comes from the difference between regular season and post season. Besides that, during the post season I’ve seen him come up big with some clutch hits during some crucial moments. I never said anything about numbers or stats, I’m just speaking based on key moments in a game. Numbers and stats never really shows what went on during a game. Hard to tell when or where impact plays/hits happened in a game by looking at a scorebook, especially if momentum changes occurred during the game.

Basically the entire towns of Starkville and Columbus temporarily moved to Omaha. I would not be surprised if there were 35K+ Miss State fans in Omaha. From all of the overpriced hotels and eat outing for tens of thousand of fans, I’m guessing Omaha’s economy made upwards of 50 million off State fans alone.

Going on a hit parade is not necessarily a good thing. Seen too many teams slumber after a game like that. Past five CWS champs lost game 1. Doesn’t mean it’ll happen this time. If I was a gambler I’d pick Vandy. Go State.

There just wouldn't be enough wood bats to supply all the college teams. There are approximately 50,000 college players per year among all college divisions, and wood bats break. It makes much more economic and environmental (less trees) sense to use the BBCOR bats.

@I don’t know , what other team would you say was more experienced than Miss St. this year? How many others teams had players with experience from 3 consecutive CWS? Vandy will be back. The program has been the best in the country since 2007 and is built for the long haul. Need proof? Google which college team has most active players in MLB and also check out Perfect Game’s recruiting rankings for the next 2-3 years.

Two really poorly pitched games so far , resulting in blowouts.

Being a D1 college player at 14 literally makes no sense or logic at all.
