4 times YOUNG Michael Jordan was the GOAT [PRODIGY]

Спорт

Most people consider Michael Jordan the greatest of all time and he showed glimpses of greatness early in his career. Michael Jordan 1984 olympics, Michael Jordan 63 points, Michael Jordan shoes and Michael Jordan All-Star freeze out are just a few stories covered in detail in this video. They all showed the world how a young MJ was destined for basketball greatness.
Michael Jordan came into the NBA the same year Bobby Knight coached the USA Olympic basketball team. Knight did not like Jordan during training camp in 1984. The legendary coach though MJ was a showboat and could not shoot. By the end of training camp Knight loved MJ and by the end of the Olympics he dubbed him the greatest player he'd ever seen.
MJ didn't win a title until he was 28 years old but it was clear he could hang with the best team in the world in 1986. Jordan scored a record 63 points in a playoff game against the Celtics. The record still stands today. Jordan's Bulls were swept but he earned respect from none other than Larry Bird. MJ made NBA history following a season-long foot injury to show GOAT-ness was in his future.
Jordan changed the game off the basketball court as well. He revolutionized basketball shoes with the Air Jordan by Nike. MJ then struck an exclusive deal with his shoe sponsor which made using his likeness prohibited for the NBA. This changed marketing forever as well. At a young age Jordan was maximizing his popularity and creating an unmatched legacy.
It was clear from his rookie year that Jordan struck fear into his opponents. NBA veterans organized a "freeze out" of Jordan in the 1985 NBA All-Star game. Despite starting the game, Jordan only managed 9 field goal attempts. The conspiracy was carried out because All-Star vets felt threatened by MJ's talent and profile. That kind of respect/disrespect hasn't been seen in the NBA before or since.
Tell me what you think of this stuff in the comments, in fact - if you've actually read this entire thing, bless you. Let me know in the comments you read this whole thing. Our code word will be "pumpkin" - if you write that I'll give you a big high five.

When Michael Jordan scored 49 points in Game 1 against the Celtics, Larry Bird told the media: "Michael Jordan is not going to score 49 points on us again." Jordan heard about the remark and scored 63 points in Game 2. Larry Bird after Game 2: "Michael Jordan is the most awesome basketball player in the NBA. I think he is God disguised in basketball shoes." Jordan was the number one vote-getter in the 1985 NBA All-Star game and Detroit Pistons point guard Isaiah Thomas led a boycott against Jordan. No one would not pass him the ball. When the Bulls faced against the Pistons during the second half of the season, Jordan scored 45 points against the Pistons in the "revenge game." The point here is Jordan had a reputation of being a raw, fierce, competitor that possessed a killer instinct. Bulls head coach Doug Collins: "Don't challenge against Michael Jordan. You try to compete against him, he will throw 60 at you. He is a killer and he will embarrass you."

Now I understand why some of the greatest players prior to MJ still can’t get over how amazing Michael Jordan was even before he played an NBA game. He totally embarrassed seasoned NBA players Offensively and Defensively. He instantly became the new Diplomatic Face of the NBA. His salary was peanuts compared to his other endorsements which was chump change compared to his NIKE brand. They were so jealous the became lifetime Jordan Haters. Too bad, his actions spoke louder than his words! That’s why MJ is the G.O.A.T.😂

Michael Jeffrey Jordan = GOAT, 23 stands for 2x 3 peats, JORDAN = 6 letters and eventually 6-0. So what can I ask for? To those lebron stans using jordan's 1-9 record in the 1st round as an argument: 1. Those were jordan's rookie to junior years in the NBA. Shall we judge the rest of the players in their 1st 3 seasons too and not in their prime years? 2. What are the odds of an 8th seed, rebuilding team getting swept by the 1st seed, dynasty team in the 1st round? Not the same odds of an eastern conference champion getting swept by the western conference champion right? 3. MJ in his 1st 3 seasons led the Bulls to the playoffs despite suffering almost a career ending injury in hid 2nd season. And he didnt choke in those series as a youngster. In the playoffs, he averaged 29.3 ppg as a rookie, 43.7 ppg as a sophomore and 35.7 ppg as a junior. To those saying that Pippen saved him from losing 1st rounds: 1. After displaying great individual performances in the playoffs, imagine that what your mgmt could provide you to advance deep in the playoffs are...... THREE ROOKIES! A 5th pick, non division 1 player (pippen), a 10th pick power forward (grant) and a head coach that never head coached an NBA team (Phil). No established all star or veteran winning head coach were recruited to help MJ. 2. Pippen didnt average atleast 20 ppg in his 1st 3 seasons with the Bulls. He just averaged 10.8 ppg in his 1st playoff appearance in 1988, 13.1 ppg in his 2nd playoff appearance 1989 and 19.3 ppg in his 3rd playoff appearance. Jordan averaged 36.3 ppg in 1988, 34.8 ppg in 1989 and 36.7 ppg in 1990. All in 50%+ FG shooting.

MJ was born with a killer instinct and would do anything he had to to win. His 2nd season he was injured so he scored very little. When a man plays 6 yrs or more longer of course he'll have more points thats why Kobe passed MJ

@@robglobal1 you are absolutely right, most of these guys have never watched Jordan play they go strictly by stats. They don't look at the difference in rules or the fact that compared to Jordan's era there is no defense in today's league. In the 80s and 90s what was considered a light foul is a flagrant foul now. The only time lebron ever faced real defense was in his first Olympics and he got the bronze medal!! No way that would to an Olympic team with Jordan on the roster, that team would have went undefeated! Even 40 yr old Jordan wouldn't have let that happen!! There is no comparison! If there is a GOAT, Jordan is THE GOAT in my opinion..

You can be sure that Bobby Knight is not a man I very much admire because of his unprofessional behavior as a coach but I've never heard that he perceived Michael Jordan as a problem for the Olympic team, indeed was insistent that he would be on the team. In fact, he questioned why both Houston and Portland chose Akeem Olajuwon, and Sam Bowie respectively over Jordan. When someone at Portland informed him that they needed a center Knight reportedly said "Hell you should've still drafted Jordan because he can play any position. And this was after the '84 NBA Draft and before Jordan was even chosen for the Olympic team. He may have said something like Jordan was so good he might be uncoachable because what would or could any coach teach him. The late great Dean Smith who everyone in my home state of North Carolina loved because he was such a saintly man had already coached him into being the most fundamental player ever. Knight certainly wanted Jordan on that team because despite the shortcomings of his character very much admired Dean Smith as a coach and had to know Jordan had absorbed all the basketball wisdom that Smith possessed.

My guy, your take is a bit off. The NBA was different when Jordan was a rookie. Sure, some vets didn't like all the attention he was getting as the season progressed, and his wearing his Jordan brand sweats during the initial part of the dunk contest certainly didn't help those who were jealous, but the infamous freeze out wasn't because he was despised by all those players. Neither he, nor any of us actually old enough to have watched the game live, knew he was being iced out. It wasn't even talked about as a thing right away because in the old NBA rookies, even those who could fly, had to pay their dues.

The video presenter completely overrates Michael Jordan as being the goat in his early years. In fact, Chicago was planning on trading him in his early years because they didn't want to depend on just one person for offense, plus the fact that a one-person offensive doesn't bring home championships. The NBA was never designed for a one-person show and explains why Michael Jordan would give an explosive performance in his rookie years but Chicago would still lose. Why? Because Magic & Bird was still at the top of their games and Doc Julius Erving was still in the air before Michael Jordan was nicknamed such. 'Nuff said!

I'm one of the few who says MJ isnt the GOAT. Because because people look through his career threw skewed glasses. Up until his first retirement he was not more talented than Russell Westbrook. He didnt become a great shooter till he came back from baseball. Then he went on probably the greatest player run of all time

You say he isn't the GOAT yet you admit he went the greatest run of all time. Who do you think is the GOAT then?

Jordan is best of his era but all time I would have to say Wilt is in the conversation. There are plenty of things that play into the appearance that Jordan is the best of all time. But he didn’t have enough years at his post first retirement to make that distinction. He amazing scorer his whole career but his image is mostly made when he had The whole package but that wasn’t the case for his whole career.

Say no to drugs! There would be no LeBron, Kolby, Curry, etc. See this is before your time and your ignorance not paying attention to this small but informative video has you saying dumb sh!t. But it's not your fault, millennials don't know any better. Y'all are social media vultures. Don't know any better. LeBron haven't done an 8th of what Michael Jordan has done for the sport of basketball not just the NBA and accomplished in his career. But you're entitled to like who you like. But as far as the GOAT, please don't show your ignorance!

Will never know everything Jordan eat, how he worked out, how many hours he slept, what supplents or steroids he took ,if he even took them in 1984. Like people quoting people famous who didn't say that stuff it will always be classified or something. But if I ever find out I'm defentely gonna do a lot of stuff he did cuz it worked
