I’m actually the rare fan of both Skip and Nick. But even as a fan of them, they do have certain takes that they are either wrong or insufferable about for sure. Makes it hard to be a fan. For Skip, he’s right about Lebron, but talks about it too often. For Nick, who can usually back up his points, the fact that he so clearly omits and skews data trying to put Lebron over Jordan is just bizarre and off-putting.

You could hand check your opponent legally. Today, MJ would average 50ppg. That info comes from todays and yesterdays players. The 90s refs wouldn’t allow all those traveling calls on Lebron. I've seen profissional athletes, resume, from one year of absence, and losing completely their form. It's crazy that he can downplay Jordan's 6 championships, but then claim a 27 game win streak for LAflop as an individual achievement. smh

Right...Curry had a 28 game winning streak and won the chip, so by Nick's standards he is better than Lebron.

Either year in which Jordan won his 3rd Championship in a row is better than any season Lebron had. This is why Context to numbers is important. Pick a 3 peat because Lebron has none

His argument is disingenuous. imo peak in the GOAT debate should be the years that the said player is considered the best player in the NBA. What did the player accomplish in that time? That's why Bird is considered great with only a 3 year peak. Peak isn't just one year or slicing up years you want. Jordan's peak was 87-98. Retiring mid peak, he accomplished more.

"they don't want you to bring up the times he didn't win in the middle of the 6 championships," Well yeah, it would be pretty stupid to count the years in which he wasn't really playing. That'd be like holding it against Lebron for not winning in 2001

Wright conveniently leaves out so many details. It’s okay to count two shortened seasons for LeBron because he happened to win titles in those years, but we have to count the nearly two seasons in which Jordan was out for retirement? Another thing that doesn’t get talked about now is the fact that LeBron has needed the play-in tournament to even qualify for the playoffs over the past couple of years. W/o that, what do his achievements in LA look like? Let’s face it. He’s had one noteworthy year since he’s been there and it’s stained by the bubble.

All I gather from Nick Wright's argument is that LeBron literally only had one season that could compare with ANY of Jordan 's seasons with the Bulls

Perfect game 6!! Dude had two turnovers and practically threw the game away. If it hadn’t been for Bosh and Ray he would’ve lost again. Dude just likes to recite stats but is either apparent or slick of him to put context into the stats.
