Just got my chest x ray after severe Tuberculosis. More than half of my lungs were gone. Today I am happy as my lungs have recovered and recovery is faster than any other typical tb patient even my doctors were shocked. Only thing I did is consistent simple yoga asanas and breathing exercises mentioned in this video. I am forever indebted to you. Will always keep you in my prayers. Hi, I try to do some deep breathing daily by sitting upright on the edge of a chair and one hand resting on my lower abdomen and inhaling and exhaling. But I have been trying to inhale for 4 seconds and exhale for 8 seconds. Should I try just inhaling and exhaling for 4 seconds please? Also, I inhale from my mouth and not nose as my nose is always slightly blocked and what I find is generally when I inhale through nose I seem to feel bit uncomfortable and anxious. Thanks

Namaste, 'Nadis' are tubular structures corresponding to the veins and the arteries in the body. As per Indian texts on Yoga, Anulom Vilom helps cleanse the Nadis (arteries and veins) by increasing the level of oxygen in them.
