Rewatching this in 2021 and seeing Emily here and knowing how she is in more current videos, she’s so much more confident in her cooking skills these days than here. Glad her ketchup obsession hasn’t ever changed 😂

In my country, we call it "bread in egg" instead of French toast and it's a savory meal, not sweet, so it's normal to eat it with ketchup. I feel you Emily. Honestly I was scared by the hate the ketchup French toast got

I love in this series that no matter what level youre at, they all enjoy the food they make. You don't have to be a world class chef to make some tasty food.

My Emily study- Everybody is judging her for the sin that is putting ketchup on French toast but...She just soaked bread with egg. It’s not nearly as bad if it was a sweet French toast. Swerzye If you’re watching a video on 3 people making French toast different ways, I think you can relate a tiny bit.

She made the toast more eggy and savory therefore ketchup makes sense. I was absolutely shocked to see it at first but then I realized it's simply a savory version. That's the only way I was able to digest the shock.

Emily is a girl after my own heart. I never have sweet french toast. French toast to me has always been savoury and goes amazingly with ketchup.

basically never attempt any recipe in this series unless it's lorenzo's

Because it's good ol' fashion home made food, it's very relatable, appealing and effort and love was put into it, unlike Emily's..whatever. Penny's looks great and exotic and I'm sure love was put into it, but it's more for something you go out to eat or plan ahead, maybe even a like a special occasion, not for making at your house normally, unless your professional chef like Penny or have a lot of time in your hands.

This also means they don't have to go out of their way and grab some random stranger just to cook for them. At this point, Emily is now probably just making fun of the videos by adding ketchup to practically everything in her dish.

I always make mine like the armature, but i just dunk the bread in the eggs mixed with a little milk then i put cinnamon on while its cooking in the skillet. I always have regular bread and eggs and syrup, I love it. The second chefs reminds me of bread pudding, I would make that. And the third one would be a quarantine project.
