I completely agree that Shanks wanted Ace to be Joyboy there is no other reason that he would be just hanging out with some kid on the island his Captains son was supposedly supposed to be on right after stealing the Nika fruit from the Government which mind you they finally got after 800 years, so they would be looking for him activly. He went there to give it to Ace, but decided to hang out with Luffy for a bit before he went looking for Ace and then Luffy ate it on him and said his dream was the same as Roger's was so he went oh maybe Luffy is roger instead

The WG probably kept his body to make sure he was actually dead. Just like the frozen strawhat, but obviously, the anime won't show something so gruesome. Maybe in the manga, it will reveal more. I could be wrong, and he Joyboy could be somewhere else

Either way when it is, it won't be an original idea, as Oda just borrows from so many different cultures and stories - So maybe like in the Book of Eli, the one piece is the bible or something.

This is all kind of plausible however, you’re forgetting when Luffy turns into gear fifth, he can’t stop dancing, and from what I remember from sky Island, the depiction of sun god Nika was always dancing with joy. Another thing that’s wrong with your theory the strain that gear five causes on the body that causes Luffy. The shrink up and shrivel would also be possible that the original boy would have that same drawback.

This makes way more sense then oars being joyboy. Oars, blackbeard, the demon from film red all have 3 skulls assigned to them. There is more of a connection there than there is to oars being joyboy. Saying oars is joyboy is a very, very huge reach.

I honestly think that the symbol with the 8 circles surrounding what you think is the sun actually refers to moons surrounding the One Piece world. The symbol inside the circle at 50:04 is the eye of Horus... also sometimes referred to as the eye of the moon, in contrast to Ra which has the eye of the sun. The other symbol is covered by the old ladies hair... and honestly the hair just looks like a planet... again I think it's telling us that there were 8 moons orbiting the One Piece World. Remember back to Ohara, the globe had multiple moons... personally I think that the different races came from different moons, which are now missing. They could have been destroyed with ancient weapons, but my theory is that they are actually just small, Island sized moons and they got stuck in the foliage of the giant tree we saw briefly on Elbaf. Reason for thinking this? the tree is obviously a reference to Yggradisil, the world tree, upon which, literally, the 9 realms were located. If you assume that the One Piece world is midgard (our world in Norse mythology) then the other 8 would be the missing moons (well one is still actually free). Little bonus, it potentially explains Zunesha's crime, Zunesha is uniquely tall, like 15km tall, maybe they carried the aliens from the top of the tree to our world... ultimately leading to an invasion.

Alotta stuff makes sense but the oars stuff isnt that deep. I think the oars and the cerberus theory with blackbeard is more plausible. Especially after film red and uta summoned the demon that had 3 skulls depicted on it, blackbeards jolly roger has 3 skulls on it, oars from thriller bark has 3 skulls on him as well. There is more of a connection with those then all the oars connections that are shown constantly in this video. Still alotta great theories. Also between alabasta and skypiea, well around that time was when one piece was supposed to originally end. Stated by oda himself, thats why skypiea has so many references to the story going onwards. Just like the side story with eneru going to the moon, he will eventually come back and probably have awakened his devil fruit and have forms of haki. Wheter hes friend or foe when he does, no one knows.

One possible way of writing the kanji for Kaido (快童/怪童) means "joy boy / strong kid." In the manga Kaido is written in kana, which are only phonetical syllables, they don't hold meaning, contrary to kanji which is the actual written system where a character holds a meaning. So you can't pinpoint a meaning out of Kaido's name but you could find kanji that are read as "Kaido" and suggest that it can be the meaning of the name, even though nothing is sure if Oda doesn't confirm it. There are many, many different ways you can use kanji to write the same phonetic names. ESPECIALLY for the name Kaido with just a handful of kanji I can recall off the top of my head. Finding one like this that matches is interesting and certainly a possible usage for the name, but it is absolutely by no means convincing evidence of it being deliberate.
