Great little upgrade, but on longer hills that factory turbo really heat soaks and it shows in egts, you keep pulling the same load on the same grade and the longer you do it the egts keep creeping up higher and higher. And your at 70 degrees here in AZ in the summer 110 degrees everything heat soaks a lot faster so I ended up switching to a borg sxe 62/68/14 t3 on the manifold which allowed the system to flow a lot of air for a long period of time with out heat soaking. I eventually switched the 14 t3 housing to a 14 t4 with a t4 manifold just to allow the engine to tow 20k lbs up 5-6% grades for 20-35 min. This is mainly because my 06 ram 48re only has 4 speeds and being a 5.9 they like rpm and pulling a hill for 30 min at 3k rpm with 20k trailer it creates a lot of heat and that's mainly just an Arizona thing. in colder states you don't need your air system to be crazy efficient and you still get great results, but here with ambient temps at 110 it finds all the little weak links.

Nice kit! I just installed an s472 1.15 AR on top my s362 sxe 14 cm, and man does it run like a dream! 5 spd. manual 24 v p pump. Absolutely no lag at all! At 35 psi it feels like it’s gonna break the tires loose, n that’s only 1/2 throttle, never had the nerve to push it further yet..

Steven Tinker It is worth the money! I just got a compound setup on mine this past weekend, and I don’t know why I waited as long as I did too do it, Give these guys a call and tell them exactly what fueling you have, what you r looking to do with the truck, and they will get you setup with exactly what you want. It’s important not to go too big on the big turbo exhaust housing if u are looking for a good towing setup, and esp. if you have a manual trans. It will pay for itself in fuel savings , power and torque gains! Plus it’s 100 times more fun to drive!

basically your engine gets fed 1/3 more air while its doing the same amount of work as with a single turbo. more extra air while working on a standard load results in lower exhaust gas temperatures.

Also increases fuel mileage by 2-3 mpg, with the right setup, and you get a lot more torque, and energy out of the fuel

P PUMP 24 VALVE I don’t have compounds myself but I’ve talked to a couple guys who have run compounds vs big singles and compounds actually lost a couple mpg because of the added boost remember the engine uses energy to create boost. Now if the truck was super Smokey before and then cleaned up smoke with compounds yes it will certainly gain mpg.

Jason Truman, I disagree, If the afc is set with the right spring on a p pump engine, it will limit how much the afc can travel, also tuning and the size of injectors on a common rail will determine how much fuel it gives it, this is why not going too big on the turbine housing of the big turbo is important, many times companies go with a 1.32 AR , which is too big for 650 hp, the 1.15 is plenty for me, the 1.32 is for 750, and it doesn’t drive the turbo as hard, therefore less efficient. n the reason I went to compounds is to clean up smoke after 2500 rpm, where the s362sxe is out of its range. I am running the same injectors- 7x9, I also have AFC live, and can turn it back significantly for better control yet.
