I just used this on my 991 Turbo with a leather dash and it worked fantastic no more bubbles.
Hi all, I just used the method in the video. I had inly a 4" area near the defroster grill. It dries pretty quickly and is an invisible repair in my case. A Quick aid when working near the contours of the dashboard such as I did. Take some sand or if you're lucky enough to have mortar mix around the garage and put enough in a plastic bag so it has some weight put it on top of your repair and since it's sand it'll flex with the contours mine came out absolutely mint😂mint

I used a rubber wedge to place on my repair.
Thank you for this video and for sharing your experience. I need to do a little repair on my 3LT dash but was worried about sticking a needle into the leather. Your recommendation cleared it all up. I now feel confident to make the repair. Thanks again..

Did you try the dash repair?
LOVE this Guy's stuff! Just saw some of his content today!!! I've had this Tear-Mender in my Paint/HSW Dept for over 22 years! I'm in an ACE store....so patronize your Hardware stores if you can.
Thanks, just found this video. This fix was something I've been thinking about doing, but just wasn't sure it would work. So again, thank you and I'm glad I found your video.
Great video! Thanks for sharing! I am about to do this myself and just needed a little more confidence!
Great idea. Many C7 owners that are having this problem need to watch this!
Thank you very much for sharing the video! I had purchased everything that I needed on Amazon! Applied the glue through the leather and it worked Amazing!!!!! 3LZ dash on my Z06 looks perfect again!!!!!! Thanks again!

What kind of glue did you use ?
it worked great. im really happy with the result. thank you
Thanks for sharing the info. I hope I never get the problem but this would be my first solution.
SO grateful for this video. Thank you!THIS WORKS! ...a few things that worked for me... 2017 Grand Cherokee overland. Leather dash starting to look pretty bad and buckled. Used the stuff recommended. Initially wasn't really holding, so BE GENEROUS with the glue . It's not super glue, after all. Push it down hard for the full 3 minutes - I went to 4 and it's working well. Be prepared to do multiple spots. Spreading it too thin just won't work...

I am about to try the same on our jeep, same year and make. It's a bloody disgrace what this car looks like after 6 years in mild climate... may I ask if it's still ok after 2 months?

@@aidenross5408 I worked very hard to make my dash look pretty darn good - HOWEVER - 3 months later it has returned to original condition. I live in the desert southwest, so possibly the intense sunlight was the factor. The glue just didn't hold. I used exactly the glue he had recommended. Maybe a different glue or epoxy? Good luck...

@@lee.m.506 Same thing on my 2013 GC. Used Fiebing's Leathercraft cement. Worked about a year but is now coming up again. I live in south Texas so the Jeeps interior gets very hot even with the windshield having a reflector in the summer. Wish someone could come up with a long lasting solution.
Thanks for this. I have a couple of bubbles in my Jaguar F-Type dash that I'd like to correct, and this looks like a pretty good approach. I was wondering if I would need to add glue.
Thanks for your videos, I will try this fix on my c8. Subbed, keep up the great content.

Seems like if you're having this issue with a C8, it would still be covered under warranty, no?

@@silentstormstudios yes it would be, I actually have a 10 year extended warranty, but I’m on the big island Hawaii and our only Chevy dealership doesn’t work on the C8’s. I would have to ship my car to Honolulu for any warranty work. I’m praying I don’t ever have any big issues that I can’t handle myself.
Coming up on a year since you posted the video. Can you update us on how it is holding up? I need to do my C7 LT3 dash and Passengers side door panel.
Great video! I have a C7 here in Texas and so far I haven't experienced this issue-yet! I see that you did this fix over a year ago and am wondering how well the fix has held up after another hot summer?
Is that adhesive heat resistant? I have a Grand Cherokee with a leather dash and I used this type of repair method but the leather started coming back up after a year or so due to the high heat in Texas and the cars interior temp in the summer. I used a different contact cement.
What about a two part resin? I think I may be able to access the pocket from the back edge of the leather with a tube and syringe. The needle idea may be better. Viscosity may be too high with resin however.
I used a 23 gauge needle and I found a test spot and it left a visible puncture mark. I opted to pull the leather up some to get better leverage underneath. it had came up about 4 inches or so, I was able to shimmy the needle in between the dash from where it was coming up to spread the glue on the bubbled areas. I used a workout sand bag to weigh it down, someone recommended in the comments sand in a bag and that was a great suggestion! But I worked in sections to slowly lay it down and I couldn’t be happier. Ceramic tints going on asap!! I have a bmw 740i btw so much larger dash

Make sure your tint shop doesn’t get your dash wet. The shop I went to got my dash wet and made the leather peel off more.
What do you do closer to the windshield where the vent and headlight sensor is?
Should you inject the glue when the dash is hot, the cooler it is the more it bubbles, I have one Big bubble, about the size of a dinner plate, looks worse when it's cool, let it sit in the sun it's stretches out and looks alot better, Thanks !!
Hello, excellent video, could you please put the link of where you bought the product, to be sure to buy the one that already worked. Thank you.
Nice car!
Does anybody have a video on removing all of the dash, mine is not repairable
Glue didnt work. Put a bag of rice on it to hold it down over night then the next day didnt stick and instead found little hard glue clumps under the dash. Cant tell if its crap glue from Amazon or just crap glue in general.
Thanks, I needed this!! What glue did you use?

@@martinkeith3875 Sorry for the late response, it worked quite wonderful, its actually pretty hard to stab the leather so be very careful as i left a few puncture holes for being careless, but it works amazingly
You mentioned not adding too much glue but my entire piece is loose, still connected top and bottom but I can feel I can push it down. I am thinking I need to add quite a bit of glue and then work pretty steady at spreading it out. Any thoughts? My dash looks perfect now.
