Part 19 of the Widebody GTR Stagea build. In this episode we take the first step of replicating the fenders on the other side by 3D scanning the completed widebody plugs.

    Keen to see the next few steps with the 3d printing. I have a bambu labs printer and am on the facebook group and have seen a company in America that scanned and printed a whole civic type r race bumper.

    Just thought I'd let you know that from watching this whole build, you've inspired me (a guy who works in IT) to do a paintwork fix on my Silvia S15! It had some bad paintwork done on the Spec R badge, where the sticky pads for the badge were simply painted over instead of removed. It's only small but I'd never have had the confidence to do it before watching how easy you make it look! (My work will be, in no way at all, up to your standard but I figured, "what the hell, I can give it a go!" 😂)

    Yup, finally bit the bullet and bought myself a 3D printer so I'll be figuring out how that works in the background for the next few episodes while I start on the mould making for these fenders. Then I'll move on to printing and piecing together the kit for the other side.

    I've just accepted that I'll be finding random scanning dots forever now. I had scanning done on the Mx5 about 4 years ago and I'm still finding the stickers from that.
