390 Adventure Suspension Upgrade (Hyperpro)

KTM 390 Adventure | The 390 Adventure ships with good suspension. Both on, and off-road, you will more than likely be satisfied. (OK, maybe not with the front springs.) However, I was loading my bike down with 50# of camping gear and my suspension was not holding up. Enter Hyperpro. They make aftermarket suspension for many bikes and were the first to offer aftermarket suspension for the 390 Adventure in the United States. - Frank

Totally agree!, higly recommended These Hyperpro progressive front springs and rear shock are absolutely the best there is. I do not have the rear shock with the external reservoir, but the emulsion rear shock (also adjustable). I paid around $800,- It improves handling in cornering ánd braking as well.

I'm around 160 with about 35 -40 lbs of luggage. No racks. I also was regularly bottoming the front. I had my local shop replace the oem spring with a straight rate spring that was quite a bit longer. He was able to remove all but one of the shims. The forks sit much further up in the stroke during static sag, and I haven't bottomed out since then. So far, so good on the rear at my weight and load.

Sir, I like the way your express things! (Many of your countrymen make great ADV and bike videos, but are verbose !)

Great video. You covered some really important aspects to the suspension and setup. The stock shock is sprung really well, it just doesn't have great damping. Ouch, the new price is $999. Well, others can benefit from our experience.

Right on! Upgraded to the Hyperpro progressive front springs and the reservoir rear shock. HUGE improvement in off road handling. Still dialing in the comp. and rebound on the front but, noticeable difference.

I haven't been 150# since Nixon* was deciding whether to buy TDK or Maxell tape.
