That’s a great area of the country. There is a motel run by a world motorcycle traveler. Michelle Lamphere in Custer. Chalet Motel. If you are still in the area or get back there, it looks like a nice little place.

What bike you ride out there? We passed a honda cb500x last year a green one, I thought about knocking on the door to see if he wanted to go ride lol.

@teammotu last year I rode my bmw 310gs out from Wisconsin. I have traded that in for the 750gs. In which I plan on riding out this year. But those 300cc bikes do a great job. Keep an eye out for us riding around. Or join us!

@@ADVzac I brought the KLX300 in the back of the truck from Maryland, and we are heading out to do the Wyoming BDR North to South. Our time in South Dakota is nearly full on tourist stuff with the wife. But after that a lot of seat time. Next year will be the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro’s turn again with a trip up to Montana.

@teammotu that sounds like a fun time in Montana. I only ever been to the welcome sign of Montana. I need to plan a exploring trip. Also don't forget about the Palmetto ADV Rally in South Carolina. It's usually in March. If you didn't go.... now you know about it. It's decent. We got rained out this year. So I hope next year is better. We always find any if these motorcycle trips with the guys a really fun time.

What time of year do you recommend a Black Hills visit? Did you camp or hotel it? Any issues with overnight accommodations regarding things (camp/hotel) selling out or full?

Hello Brad, I have been going on September for thr past three years, and will be back this September as well. Go two weeks into SEP and the tourists are gone. It's cool on the AM, but still in thr seventies (or higher) by lunchtime. I have camped on the National Forest, lots of opportunities to do so. And I stay at a hotel for a friend's group ride. Beautiful area to ride on and off pavement. - Frank

Hello Gabriel, my favorite combo rigbt now is the AX41 front and a Mitas E-07 + rear. Great grip, good longevity on the front, and great longevity on the back. The Trailmax Mission front lasts forever, and has never been an issue as well. - Frank

@@OneOldManRiding thanks Frank. I was just curious. Because when one tries to get reviews on any certain tires as you know you get 100 different opinions from 100 different people lol I just like to see what guys like you like. I had the mitas e07+ on my t7 and was extremely impressed with the rear but not the front. It like to was out. Thanks again and safe travels back home

@@gabrielkopp2036 Hello Gabriel, I too was less impressed with the Mitas front. I actually removed it before it was spent because I had no confidence in it. I rarely do that! IMHO tires are also dependent on the bike. I have tried tires on the 390, and really liked them, but on the VSTrom or 790, I found them not so great. - Frank
