39 Buck Harvests, 17 Years On One Farm | Midwest Whitetail
On this week's episode, we start off by going back to the Winke Farm for a complete look at the past 17 years. Bill dives into some of his favorite memories, builds on how he pieced together the farm, and closes the chapter on one of the greatest hunting stories of all time.

There was a reason this is my favorite show to watch and your the reason Bill, it's your outlook on life , how you never take things for granted , very spiritual man and the list could go on an on but the most important thing is "FAMILY" , there is nothing like making Memories with Family and if course a Big Buck is just the icing on the cake!! You got one heck of a Crew on Midwest Whitetail and I'm sure they wont let you down this season!! So looking forward to see what's in store for you in the future, I'm sure its gonna be AWESOME!! BEST OF LUCK THIS SEASON an GOD BLESS!!

Re-watching this a year later and I realized I grew up watching Bill hunt giants on his farm. The G5 and G4 bucks were must see TV to me when they came out. Lefty, the wide 10, and all the crusty bucks over the years were fun to watch, and the way he tells the story of these deer you really feel like you're part of it. The way I hunt today has greatly changed, and been influenced by Bill. I hope he's enjoying his well deserved time away from the camera! God bless you Bill Winke!

Goosebumps throughout the entire video Bill. You have touched, inspired and showed so many, what being a true outdoorsman is all about. I started watching MWW in 2014 and have honestly never missed a video that you guys have published since then. You have shown us what "Always dreaming big" is all about, never taking shortcuts and always devoting your time to an idea in your head. I would say you did an absolutely damn fine job Bill. With all the countless hours that you have devoted to the farm, NOT having sellers remorse would be more freighting! All jokes aside, I wish you and your family the best wherever you may settle down at. I know from personal experience that those moments that you talk about spent with your kids afield, will never be forgotten by them. God Bless Bill.

I like Bill - who doesn't? - but I'm not sure we should be proclaiming anyone "the most honest and true to life." In my wildest dreams - I could never afford a sprawling midwestern farm in the most fertile whitetail habitat in the US. Like many of the blue-collar hard-working people I know, I'm relegated by circumstance to hunting heaviy-pressured public land river bottoms in my home state of Mississippi. I'll never know what it's like to hunt thousands of acres of perfectly-managed mid-western farmland. I'm absolutely certain Bill's skils are elite, and he could get it done anywhere, but I'd rather watch the guys of The Hunting Public or the esteemed Hunting Beast himself, Mr. Dan Infalt, get it done with a bow where anyone with $25 for a license can get after it! I mean NO offense to Mr. Winke whatsoever - he's a LEGEND - but I"m tired of watching "hunters" shoot big deer in deer refuges.

@@jakemitchell1671 That's a very respectable opinion that in more cases than not, I would agree with you, on every word. But, in this video he did go in depth in discussing how he acquired so much ground. He set a goal and achieved them parcel by parcel but not without working the buy/sell/flip market heavily. I have to admire someone who made it all come together especially in the cut-throat business of realty, sales and marketing. Only thing worse than that is media/journalism! To my point, I believe that acquiring his 900 acres the way he did was not easy and didn't happen overnight. He worked at it and sacrificed for it. That is the American Dream, in my opinion, and for that I respect the man. Not because he's a deer killing machine. I mean, Ray Charles could kill big deer on his property but more so because he set goals, created opportunities, took risks and made it happen. Admirable and respectable for sure...

And for you to give that back to us is amazing. I feel as though we all get to share the hunt and excitement through the amazing quality videos. I will always know bill winke is a high class individual as well as hunter. As always keep hammering.

Growing up with Midwest Whitetail, "Jamie" was the hunt that is my most memorable. It grabbed me and really brought me into my own with deer hunting. Then 2012 came, that was the season that made me want to document my hunts like Bill and strive to achieve his quality of work. I can't thank Bill and Midwest Whitetail enough, we are all so lucky to have been a very small part of this farms journey through our viewership. Great job Josh, I can't imagine how awesome it was to go through all those historic hunts and put this together!

Bill thank you so much for all you’ve done for the hunting community. I personally didn’t start deer hunting until my late 20s and was really clueless until a couple years ago when I came across the Midwest Whitetail KZread channel. I’ve learned so much from you and have applied so many of your tips and so much of your advice to my own hunting habits. I’ve become a much better and much more patient hunter over the past 2 seasons with much of that due to your content and just who you are as a person. Again thank you so very much and I wish you the best of luck and pray that God continues to bless you and your family.

Watching this video has really made me look back and think about how long I’ve been watching your show Bill. I remember the first few years of the show when I was just a kid...dreaming about just seeing a deer like the ones you were able to harvest on your farm. It’s also made me realize how much I’ve learned about deer from your show as well. Although we hunt very different habitat types, the overall knowledge I’ve gained from your videos is extremely valuable. Thank you for doing what you do and I wish you the best of luck on your new properties!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you... I know this couldn't of been a easy decision for you and your family to make because I can see and know your passion for land management and spending time enjoying it with your family outdoors. I've been following you since your hunts on Realtree Monster Bucks and on through Midwest Whitetail and learned a lot and enjoyed every minute of you sharing it with us.I understand doing what is best for your family is number one because that's where you make most of your great memories. I know you will enjoy and make many more memories in your next chapter in life. Hopefully down the road you can do the same thing on property up to where you moved closer to your family and bring us along on the ride through Midwest Whitetail.I also hope whoever was blessed enough to buy your ground appreciates it and takes care of it for the future and they know how lucky they are. I would be one of the first ones in line if you ever decided to write a book or make a video on the process of land management and the hunts on your old property. I again want to say a Big Thank you to you, your family and everyone else who helped with everything so you could share this chapter of your life with all of us. I know it may not be easy but I can't wait to see how you all are able to work with new ground for hunting and land management and to enjoy this next chapter...Thank you and God Bless

So many great memories. I'm glad I've watched your show from the very beginning. Before you were anyone to anybody and getting to see you develop into who you are today and see how far you've come. Thanks for sharing the memories with us along the way. It was a joy to watch your kids grow up and you grow older. Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone so I'm glad you are moving on to more important things in life and closer to family, because in the end it's not really how many big bucks are on your wall, but how many memories you've spent with those you love. As I grow older, I start to realize it is the hunts and the times I am with my kids or family that are the most enjoyable and most epic of all.
