I had the fortune to meet John Schneider at Laguna Seca Raceway (Monterey County, CA) back in the late 80s while working as a sheriff explorer cadet. He drove up to a controlled intersection in a classic car (a Mustang, if I recall correctly) and was extremely friendly and down-to-earth. We were not allowed to ask celebrities for their autograph, but on his return, he stopped, talked to us, and offered his autograph before leaving. I preserve it to this day. I only wish cell phones had been around then to take a photograph. He's a good man!

No other actors death has hit me this hard. To me, Rosco was the show. I can't watch the episodes without Rosco, it just ain't right. It's like a little bit of soul was missing. There was just something about his character, what he brought to the show that made Rosco more than just a character. R.I.P Jimmie.

My grandma actually went to school with Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) at a high school in Rapid City,SD. She told me they even brought a General Lee to the high school reunion years later.

Still love the show today! I own most of the Seasons on DVD.

Great people great times. I miss being that kid rushing to my bedroom at my dad's to catch the Dukes on Friday. Glad I got to meet Best around 82 or 83 at the Chattanooga World of Wheels.

Marsshallucky, that was only for a short period. Check wikipedia for the story. I still like the series a lot but got more favorites like A Team, Knightrider, Airwolf.

I remember having to leave with my parents as the dukes of hazard was about to come on. I unplugged the tv thinking that it would start back where I unplugged at.... Needless to say I had a meltdown when I found out that wasn't how tv's worked.....

The General Lee car owners were not given priority when it came to parking, as different cars, some classic, some modern, overwhelmed the number of General Lee's. I dunno... I'm 14, have been going to Dukesfests with my family since I was 4, have met incredible friends along the way, and had great experiences with the cast members and staff... It was just a huge turnaround for me, and I'm not sure I liked it too much...

The narrator needs to get his facts right. Bo and Luke were cousins too

They need to bring forth a new generation of Dukes. Have some of the original cast in it, too damnit, and NO REMAKE. Make it a continuation of the same timeline.

This show was great! I have the entire series on DVD! All seven seasons and the two made-for-television reunion movies! Forget the theatrical remakes... they sucked! I own both a die-cast replica and an RC version of the General Lee ( that plays the 'Dixie' theme when you press the right button on the remote/controller! The show was a classic and great fun! It's a treat to be able to relive every episode whenever I want! Love them 'Good Ol' Boys! ...and that gorgeous Daisy!

Today 1/27/14 is actually the Dukes of Hazard 35th birthday.

I lived in Britain in the 80`s and the show was different there, the two brothers were called vance and Coy and instead of Enos they had Cletus. I think they filmed a different series for europe but it was still very similar ;-(

No, that happened here in the US too. What happened was...the actors who played Bo & Luke (John Schnieder & Tom Wopat) went on strike over merchandising...so instead of giving in, the network brought in their "cousins" Coy & Vance while negotiations with the actors continued. It was such an unpopular move that an agreement was made after only once season of the replacement actors.

my mom watched the show back when it was airing on live TV in the 80's. she calls them Luke and Duke... and she too thinks they're brothers. for a while she even thought that Daisy was their shared girlfriend, and she can't tell the difference between Bo/Luke and Coy/Vance

I was born in the first week of September in 1985. I'll be 28 in the first week of this coming September (September of 2013). They said "30 years since the last episode aired"...28 is not 30...

Catherine Bach is still gorgeous....these are the real Dukes and will always be- not the fakes from the movie

The reporter made a mistake. He mentioned John Schneider playing Bo and his brother Luke and cousin Daisy. That should be cousin Luke and Daisy. Wonder if the guy actually watched the show much.

I know I'm gona get some flack for this but I actually liked the film with Johnny Knoxville. Not to say that I wasn't a huge fan of the original though, everyone went to school the next day to talk about what happened to the Dukes the night before. Loved that show
