[35] - jtr captivator 4000ulf energy upstairs!

Ойын-сауық

even with the jtr captivator 4000ulf sitting under a 3/4" plywood riser (and a row of seating) in the basement, the energy transferred upstairs is nuts!

I did warn you! I think if you get two more to the left and right you might rip into time and space and create a black hole. As my wife says “It sounds awesome downstairs but awful upstairs and I’m afraid the house will break.” :-)

if your budget for subs is $4k i recommend you skip rythmik and go straight to JTR (either dual 2400's or a single 4000 ported). i had (3) rythmik fv25's and now a single cap 4000 and the difference is staggering.

Hey Jonathan, what is opinion of the JTR Captivator RS2. I was considering this sealed sub because of its smaller size.

Great Series of videos... I have picked up some of the dimensions of the room, but wanted to clarify. What is the full room dimensions of the room? First Row is ~12ft from the screen? Riser is 21" high, but what is the distance of the second row from the screen?

@@aaromon43 Thanks! You don't have any issue's seeing the bottom of the screen from your second row? I have a similar size room (slightly wider & shorter) with the same "low ceiling" challenge. Trying to decide on a screen size, and am concerned having the screen so close to the floor.

it's seriously worth the extra money. $2500 will get you a really good sub, but $4000 will get you a sub you'll never upgrade again.

@@aaromon43 That is exactly my goal , to have the JTR 4000ULF upgraded for the extra 300 to 6000 watts and then ill never need to buy a subwoofer again 😄you hit the nail right on the head buddy my exact plan , thanks for responding 👍

@@bossalinedezz i thought about going for the 220v 6000w amp, but in my opinion the drivers are pushed plenty hard enough with the 4000w version, nevermind paying a huge premium for a tiny gain. i think you would be very happy with the default 4000w amp.

@@bossalinedezz Actually, depends on where you are coming from... If you already have 240V circuits, it might be worthwhile to go with the 6000W amp. You gain 1.5dB, or 25% by paying what? 8% more...
