I have 100+ double XP things from all the past seasons and operations just sitting around because they have no use out side of the easy to level up operation passes, why can i use them to get more career rank xp

I feel like the majority of us are in a similar boat. I wish they could be used for career xp and battlepass xp, but I assume it won't be used for career xp, just because it can be bought from the store. 343 probably doesn't want the grind to be easier just because you spent some money, which tbf makes sense. In truth, I don't know how they could make it work, but I definitely agree with you that we should be able to use all those saved double XPs on the career rank.

double career rank xp weekends would be awesome, we should have them, even if once a month

Of course a lot of us are having a very hard time getting to Hero rank, we’ve gotten up from our gaming chair not just to go to the bathroom.

Pretty absurd we haven’t gotten double xp weekend for this game tbh, it be a lot more feasible to play because we know how sbmm gets to be which causes a lot of stress for people who are forced to play BTB just for more double xp output, having double xp weekend will boost player population for all playlist in my opinion

I was just thinking that it really needs double exp weekends. It would get me into playing mor for sure

Everyone wants the hero rank because it’s the ONLY real earnable armor. Man I remember getting inclement weather in reach and feeling such an accomplishment.

This is probably the easiest thing 343 could do to make people happy. They better do this soon

It sucks too because Spartanrecord IS able to track your lifetime XP. If 343 got off their asses and made XP from launch retroactive, I'd go from Platinum Master Sergeant to Diamond Brigadier General.

I’m onyx colonel 2 and the grind is not very rewarding, i think since they’re obviously sunsetting the game double xp weekends would be a very good way to get people to play without any major additions

The precise number of games will shift here in there. Which is to say I’ll need 1400 games- finish a firefight match and need 1396. Idk why this happens, but I’m hoping the jump is more significant in reality.

I'm at Diamond master Sgt. Grade 3. Double xp weekends would be aewsome.

They should bring in assassinations! Heck, reduce the duration of assassinations down by half if people are going to whine about how long assassinations were in the other Halo games! But regardless, we need assassinations! Plus, we need far more enemy-occupied wraiths in the campaign! There are like only three in the campaign!

I think they need a prestige to this career rank as well. 2xp wouldnt affect current Heros, we need more progression added or something

Haha when i got to onyx i just gave up thinking about ranks and just saw it as a massive xp goal lol

I hit Hero rank last month through grinding Firefight KOTH everyday but yea 343 should implement double career XP weekends for those who haven't yet as an extra incentive to keep playing especially if they want as many players as possible to hit Hero before the next Halo game releases.

Bro I was just looking into this cause I want that chief armor but damn I need 4,100 games… the number seemed small at first but DAMN that’s actually a LOT of matches and a lot of time.

I would like to see 2X XP weekends even just for seeing the bar fill up faster. Secondly we do need more rewards for progression ideally one every tier. BTW malevolent, my spooky Husky raid map got recommended a while back so that's neat.

Glad you think the same way man and I'd love to see more rewards throughout. I love the Master Chief kit as the final hero rank reward, but I feel like it's not enough overall. Congrats on getting Malevolent recommended by 343, that's fantastic Dan!! 🔥

It’s crazy how Minty Blitz achieved hero in the first few days. If you do the math of games required, and average time of game it just didn’t make sense.

That was when the Xp grind was broken btw. Playing Bootcamp when Xp career launched and even firefight when it first launched was broken on giving tons of XP which has been adjusted since then by alot after October an holidays of last year

They need more career rank-based rewards. One set of armor at the end of playing 5-10k games just isn't worth the grind.

I'm at Onyx Staff Sergeant III. Play Normal FF, that's the easiest way.

Normal firefight if You are alone and not that good, heroic firefight if You have a good team or husky raid if You are good at the Game, thats it

I wish they gave us a cool reward for each major career rank like gold , silver , etc.

Mane as someone who played since launch and is still playing i should have had hero😭

Decided to check out spartan record for the first time. Scrolled down to firefight and saw I had 0 kills for sentinels. Got me thinking, why aren't sentinels in firefight? Lol

I would definitely start playing more Infinite if we had these Weekends or anything. A lot of people like me have finished every pass, every event, and some (Also me) grinned every weekly reward. There is nothing for me to unlock anymore. So it’s just a waiting game at this point

I think they should also calculate the xp we missed since it wasn’t there since launch. I played so much more the first year it released but there was no sr at the time

You know they're bothered with doing it every single weekend they can do it just every other or whatever anything start with once a month beginning in the month get people excited to play. Play dates with the developers should also be an double XP day. Just my thoughts.

I mean that would be awesome and it wouldn’t obstruct the next game in base of how I think they are making it, but I think it should be a selective experience, maybe even experimental…

I've been recently logging into HALO Infinite Multiplayer, and I'll be honest, I've asked myself this question a lot: "Why am I even playing this game, aside from solely enjoying the combat loop?" And even trying to unlock stuff for customisation, it's either now locked behind a paywall (that is, most of the seasonal content), and whatever free stuff is there during the few times it is, just becomes tedious to grind through, meaning the time we put in for obtaining the reward is...kind of ridiculous at this point for players like me who have barely any time in the game or are starting out fresh. So with that being said, weekly 2XP boosts would be an absolute godsend for this game, as it reduces the amount of tedium involved with the game, so you're not left wondering about just how many more games you have to play to get this reward. Keeping the intensity of the grind in mind, of course.

I would say give rewards besides symbols to each rank

@@FootedGhost k, make sense. It's really sad that on Xbox when you record it's only 29secs. I'm trying to build up clips of good shots and combos but it doesn't always capture the whole thing

halo 5 had double XP in the featured playlist and infinite hasnt has a single event for career rank xp

The best way to grind hero rank is BTB if you are able to get 40+ kills each game, however, yeah it still requires A LOT of games and A LOT of free time

Normal FF is the best way to grind. 5000-6000+XP/15 min.

Who tf other than Mint blitz is consistently getting 40 kills in BTB?

I am at Onyx Lieutenant, and my motivation is wearing thin... this would be a great boost for me... or please let me use my almost 100 double xp hours for career rank....

Bro, I started grinding for hero since day one, and I’m now halfway through onyx. Firefight, occasional infection and btb social helped, so I recommend doing those more often. PvP is busted right now, and I don’t touch ranked AT ALL. I never really enjoyed the pvp because IT IS NOT BALANCED. So yeah, I’ll reach hero in a few months. It’s either a skill or commitment issue. I played for a few hours each day ever since the progression system started. I’m not as good as Mint Blitz or other professionals, but I’m a great player and LOCKED IN for playing as Master Chief. Not saying you are a bad player, just that you need to play certain things in a certain way. I regularly get between 3000 to even 6000-7000 exp each firefight game. Maybe only playing firefight is the way to go?

I get a lot of kills in btb or husky raid but I just don't play enough. That's why I need something like this to help with the grind. I feel like I get more score from btb with a high kill game compared to FF, although for the average player FF is the way to go for consistently good XP. Halfway through Onyx is really good though man!! 👏

Btb practically has double xp every match..1.8x multiplayer

I'm not gonna lie, I got back to Halo 3 MCC, and I'm enjoying it way more than Infinite. I know other people are different but the only major enjoyment I had with this game is with the campaign :/. Am I the only one like this?

im in the same place rn the grind i should see my progression every couple days rn it takes me a week or so to rank up which i hate so much if we had double career rank id play a ton more but we dont and it makes me almost want to quit i understand its progrssion but i dont feel like i get anywhere rn

is there any way 343 could/would do a lifetime XP match because career rank wasn't a thing when the game was released. I would prefer that over occasional double XP timeframes.

They aren't gonna add anything new moving forward. According to my source

i have over 4500 games played and i still got 1000 games left

Grinding to Hero rank to achieve the Master Chief armor is the only incentive I personally have to play halo anymore. Any small incentives similar to the ones you mentioned would go a long way into helping the grind feel less like a job at this point haha.

Quadruple XP weekends won't be incentive enough to bring me back. There's so many games to play, why waste time with a game that's hardly been/is supported by the devs.

I'd probably be playing this game a lot more if we actually got content that wasn't maps or a singular new game mode that will be there for a week and then vanish only to have a "content update" when it's actually just a cosmetic update nothing new only new cosmetics and no actual content

343 will never do double xp because their monetization depends upon low xp output to nudge players into buying tiers.

Yes, this, or just give me my hero rank from lifetime xp added up. Spartan record could figure it out, why cant 343?

When are they stopping fully releasing content for the game?

I think it would be a great idea, I just grind Firfight with my wife I am a Onyx Captain Grade 2 and she is a Dimond Captain Grade one. And the higher tier ranks are very hard and take a while.

Oh yeah we have been grinding firefight the whole time it's the best way in my opinion just stay in the hill for all 5 hills and get as many kills as you can you get out of a match with between 4,000rp to 7,000 rp,

And it still would be. This would only be once or twice a month to get some hype going in the community. It will still be a huge challenge to get to Hero.

As bad as Infinite's max rank is it's nowhere near as bad as H5's was. It's supposedly to be hard to get for a reason. I agree though double xp (career) would be nice. They never do double xp enough

It would be cool if you got a slight bit more xp say if you turn aim assist off but I understand that could exploited. If you look at gta which it isn't crossplay so that can work out better that you gain more rp in free aim lobbies

343i is NOT focusing on the next Halo title.. They have been & still are struggling to fill management positions as well as lead roles in development/design. Nobody wants to be used as just another pawn kept under the watchful eyes & controlling thumbs of Microsoft’s.

No, just no. It's time for them to full on shut it down and properly fix MCC. If youre still playing infinite when you could play literally anything elae then you should consider therapy, maybe you can still get help for the stockholm syndrome youre suffering from.
