Or if you’re like me, all the bedroom TVs are the same brand which are ONN and the remotes I found are universal to the tv. So if you have the same tv somewhere else the remote will work for it.

If you’ve got a GE universal remote, try this combo: 1. Hold “setup” until red light comes on and stays (couple seconds) 2. Press TV 3. Try codes 5961 (this one worked for me) or 6431 (repeat steps 1 & 2 before trying the second code option) 4. Press input and select source The remote should then be programmed to control everything including the input menu!

If you don’t have a remote, turn off the tv and while it’s powering back on, what I did was spam the channel button (up or down doesn’t matter) and it worked

I have an old S5 with IRblaster, I downloaded the SURE remote app, and used the RCA tv option, tried the second remote and that worked.

I purchased the 50" ONN tv from Walmart. It was stuck on the blue screen only after 2 weeks of usage. Using the warranty and shipped it to them for service, with the promise of 2 weeks repaired return. This was Dec 16th, 2019. Spoke with them every week since then. It was 1 excuse after another. I could never get an American voice. As of today ONN doesn't have the set saying UPS has it and vice versa. I'm out of my money for the TV, the cost of shipping it back to them and countless time calling them and UPS. I can't even take it back to Walmart and get a refund because I don't have the TV. I will never buy that brand ever again. And I will pass that message on to everyone I see in Walmart electronics Dept.

Press CODE SEARCH until the light turns on. 2. Press TV key The indicator light blinks once and remains lit. 3. Look for the ENTER key because you will need it for step 5 4. Press and release ON •OFF key until your tv turns off. (It also says “you may have to press ON•OFF key up to 200 times) but don’t get discouraged by the “200 times” because it’s better than entering different codes and not working 😭 lol 5. As soon as your tv turns off, press the ENTER key in less than 4 seconds. 6. Turn it back on with remote or with tv buttons behind your tv. I found the code for a GE universal remote, and it turns the tv on and off and changes the volume, but it won't change the input still. I tried hitting the input button, as well as just about every other button on the remote, but nothing appears to change anything on the tv

@@prollyeli7130 wow, been a while. I eventually had to get a different universal remote to get it to work. Dont remember what brand, unfortunately, but the process to connect it is about the same (will need a different code though). Even if you can't get the remote to change the channel, if a remote gets the input select menu to open, the buttons on the bottom of the TV will start working like normal again. Sorry I can't be of any more help, hope you can get it working somehow :(

Was the CRA code you used provided in the code list from the universal remote? Because I tried all 15 codes on the code list plus the one you used and still nothing worked. Only two codes worked but all it does it turn on/off tv but doesn't show the HDMI options

It should, yes. But the code search is different on every remote. Call support, they can help you program your remote to your TV. And yes, Spectrum remotes do work with onn brand tvs.

I have the same remote but after I hit tv then hold setup after 2 blinks I entered your Code 3560 and waited after the second blink to hit power and it does nothing. The manual for the universal remote doesn't have ONN for TV only for soundbar.
