There are only two others with 2000 (Yalina and Votto), but they're about the same age and have no realistic chance. Any other candidates will have to stay active and healthy for another 15 years or so to do it.

Up to Stan Musial the first 8 in the 3,000 club were american born white players, then Aaron, Mays and Clemente take places 9, 10 & 11, quite an accomplishment considering only white players were allowed before 1947.

Same thing with Ted Williams. Though, in Williams' case the 5 years lost to wars was also a major factor. He was like 350 hits away. He had 2654 hits and 2021 walks.

Jeter’s is the best of all time. 5 for 5 that day. 3000th was a homer. And he had the game winning hit in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Biggio was a class act. He came from a team that played the right way. I can't stand the current culture of the Astros. Get caught cheating and then act like they are the victims. Im a life long braves fan but the damn Astros actually made me feel bad for the dodgers and Yankees..

@@thedude3065 Because baseball's drug testing policies have no teeth and it protects the high profile players. Are you really going to argue that a premier slugger like Pujols, who played during the height of the steroid era of baseball, was one of the only power hitters to abstain from using PED's during this time period? That's highly unlikely for a guy who couldn't even tell the truth about his own age.

I was at County Stadium🏟 for Robin Yount's 3,000th hit. We were there the previous night as well. Hoping he'd get it. In the 7th or 8th inning he didn't get a hit so myself, my friends Ron and Bob, all ran down to the ticket windows. They opened more windows in case he didn't get the 3,000th hit that night. We really splurged that night. We got the 2nd highest priced tickets you could get. Regular Mezzanine. Not the Deluxe Mezzanine, the Regular Mezzanine. We were on the 3rd base side. There were 2 rows in the Mezzanine, we were in the 1st row. You had a free moving chair and a table that extended across the section. So you could place your food, 📰program📰,🥤soda🥤 ,🍺beer🍺, 🌭hot🌭dogs🌭, 🍔hamburgers🍔,🍟fries🍟,🌮tacos🌮, and🍦ice🍧cream!🍨 It was the first time I had EVER sat there. They were, back then, expensive seats. $60.00-$75.00, I don't remember the exact price. But it was EPIC! AND when Robin slapped his 3,000th hit, that 🏟Stadium🏟WENT NUTS!!!!! I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!
