I love my finishing mower. I bought it new in 2022. It’s a 6’ LMC brand made by Shaktiman in India. It’s a well built unit and I’d definitely buy another. Agri Supply sells the same one but it’s called a Grizzly and a different color.

Nice! I bought the same mower from Rural King here in KY. I also bought a RK 55 hydrostatic at the same place. I’ve been pleased with both products and the service. They even got the mower all ready to hook up.😃

One thing for people, getting this mower, take off the belt guard and look underneath it, and make sure that the manufactures owners manual isn’t taped in there. I didn’t realize that, and it eventually came loose which caused the belt to jam and break.😮

I picked up a used finish mower the other day. Working on replacing the bearings in it now. I debated going with either a zero turn or a 72 inch finish mower for my tractor, but then I realized how much I liked cutting grass in my air conditioned cab.

They are all universal parts so cheap to repair and maintain along with the a/c and radio comforts its hard not to like it. The Dixie chopper has sat alot since I got it.

I have 8 acres here in South Florida. I currently use. 60inch dixie chopper with a 33hp generac engine. I'm in a debate about buying a 72 inch finish mower from Rural king to pull behind my ford 5000. Or just buy a new 72 inch zero turn with a 37hp engine... Someone told me its faster on the zero turn than the tractor. And time is what I'm trying to cut down on. No pun intended! 😆

Well factor in your time to make $1700 vs $7000 also..... is an extra 15 minutes a week worth the difference. I also have a/c and radio so I'm way more comfortable in my situation too. But if i was mowing for a living everyday no question asked on zero vs 3 point for that application.

How do you like using the rear finish mower on the tractor after having a zero turn?

Actually not too bad. I wasn't sure about it at 1st. Having the cab running a/c and radio definitely makes up the extra 15 or so minutes. I'll be doing a in depth review video soon now that I have at least 12 hours of mixed mowing with it.

Nope. But I also have a hydraulic top link and tilt it up when I raise it up for transport.

Could that tractor run a 7’ finish mower ?

Very easy. I just uploaded a video of it running a 7 foot heavy bushhog. The reason I went with a 6 foot finish instead of a 7 foot finish is price. 7 foot doubled in price and wasn't worth the extra foot of cut.

Hopefully this coming week I’ll have a TYM T574 and was curious what it could handle. Very little info on these tractors! I enjoy your videos!

If you are gonna do these videos, you should not ignore serious safety issues. The snap ring for the PTO shaft must be installed, saying “I might install later” is wrong. If your sheer bolt cuts off the he PTO shaft can leave the mower and create a shit load of damage to humans and machinery.

If that snap ring holds the shaft on....it had better be there! I had a towed 84 inch cutter and the mower disconnected from the tractor. The shaft slipped apart....mower shaft locked against tongue on mower, dented the slip tube, minor repairable damage. The tractor side hit the hitch, twisted the PTO shaft in the tractor, broke the universal joint, and sent the debris almost into orbit! No one was hurt, but could have been killed! PUT THE DAMNED SNAP RING IN PLACE WHERE IT BELONGS!!! Please.🙂
