$30 Mystery Estate Sale Carpenter Toolbox!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This week I reveal the contents of a woodworker's toolbox I picked up at a "Late Season" winter Estate Sale for $30
This box certainly makes up for the last video I did, the contents those boxes kind of sucked and It was quite obvious to me the tools in them were forgotten for a long time.
I believe this box coveys a different feeling about it, not just the contents, but a feeling about the previous owner as well. While well used, the tools were relatively well taken care of and didn't seem to have languished in too damp of a space. Many of them I will put back into service, and as always, I'll barter or sell the rest.
Video/Audio was shot on an iPhone 13, Both Edited by me using Adobe Rush, and stills were compiled/edited using Adobe Express.

Some nice woodworking tools there, whoever had them probably cherished them . A folding rule has many benefits over a standard rule but you must know how to use them. They were the standard for Carpenters back in the day

The draw knives are what I’m most excited about after the Starrett combination square of course! The square will go into my collection though, and the draw knives will be placed back into service.

I’m curious if the Starrett square is a carpenters square. Lufkin had a combo square that was numbered 65 and marketed as a “universal” square for woodworkers. Rabone is(was?) an English company.

I’ll definitely look through my catalogs to check, though I don’t have that many of them and the ones I do have aren’t super old.
