30 MoFi Electronics SourcePoint 8. Shit, what kind of a bookshelf (standmount) speaker is this?

Музыка

My audition thoughts on this very well praised (hyped?) Mobile Fidelity product. Is big better in this case?

I love those beautiful white Sourcepoint 8 speakers. I'm so glad you are pkeased with them. I agree that they are an amazing value and sound like very expensive speakers. Take care. 🤗

I have to ask, this, how is the sound of the Source Point 8 compared to the Martin Logans that you either still have or had and yes, I know about the bigger cabinet in the Martin Logans?

if you're talking about the ML 60 xti, both are robust and warm but hard to compare a full range floorstander to a stand mount. I use the 60 for my main system and the Sourcepoint in the bedroom with a small subwoofer. Both I love and both deliver full sound. The ML is a bit more detailed in high frequency and the Sourcepoint excels in the midrange. Please subscribe.

Hi being a Tannoy fan i have always found a kind of rightness in coaxial drivers I really dont understand why coaxials are not more popular For sure the driver in these speakers is very well designed and built There is also another benefit Most of the listening rooms are not acoustically treated The cone in a coaxial works as an acoustic lens for the tweeter and limits its H and V dispersion i.e. less room walls reflections and better soundstage I am quite sure these speakers could be very good for a recording studio for instance They are perfect also for nearfield listening like all coaxials by the way

@@lifebed4 hi yes Often i read about the concept point source being an ideal situation It seems that a coaxial with the right crossover (a very important accessory) approximates better a point source compared to standard speakers with drivers not on the same axis Usually the H and V dispersion of mid and high is narrower Not a bad thing in not treated rooms

They look great in White! I was fortunate to be at AXPONA the weekend that Andrew released these. The moment I heard them, I knew I would buy a pair. Having had them in my system for many months now, they are truly my endgame speaker.
