I love what you did with the “command” hooks to organize the hanging items!

You can even make cardboard boxes look pretty. With some really pretty wrapping paper. Or wrap it in some rope or put some fabric over them. There are ways to make a simple cardboard box actually looks like a part of your decor, with the added bonus of being a functional space for storage!😘

For Kristin. True. But I don’t wanna use my stuff to just make them pretty. I just write on the outside of the box to say what they are. And they stay in a bay of my husband’s garage that’s located away from our home. That’s just my opinion. But, in your case, if it’s near my home or in my home, I would definitely do what you do! That really is a great idea! Good thinking 😊

I’m loving all these ideas !! Yes those food containers are perfect for storing small items !!! I also love repurposing the giant containers of almonds or nuts from Costco, I put all sorts of organizing supplies in them, after cleaning them of course !

The gridded wire baskets for florals is a good idea.

Those white pen sorters things: the top section of the organizer fits perfectly in the round clear plastic container from the party section, and I just added a package of rocks to weight it down - it is perfect to store all my scissors in it. I did have to cut out one section of the sorter to make a larger opening for pinking shears, but it works great for all my different scissors for crafting, paper, and sewing. I had to add - I LOVE the way you use the wire baskets to store florals! I have a bunch of those containers that I never use because everything falls out or over in them, but this will be the perfect use for them!

I use cans take my left over jelly rolls and wrap the can and label it. I also use glass jars and do the same

I use the large bottles from coffee creamers. When you remove the label they are clear. The flip top is perfect for pouring out small items.

Oatmeal and grit containers are awesome to use also.

I've saved quite a few prescription bottles (clearer colored ones) and use those to store screws and small items

Take a breath...!! Its a beautiful space

I've used the bath caddy as my glue station. All my glues and a glue gun all fit nicely in them. I also use the DT bins for storing misc items, silverware and drawer organizers and holders, plus buckets of different sizes. If you are lucky enough to find metal buckets for easter on clearance right after the holiday, scoop them up to store small items in. I ran some on a string on the wall, tied to screws (you can use shelf brackets to tie the string to also) to keep all my ribbons in one spot. I scored a couple vertical file organizers at a goodwill which holds a bunch of stuff for me such as kits in bags, plastic canvas, unused small canvases, etc. The tupperware dishes make great mini greenhouses for starting seeds too, including their cupcake holders.

The little DT containers that look like little square jars with a round pop top on them are great for holding beads, buttons, and even pom poms. If you save your glass jars from sauces, jelly, etc, you can also use them for storage containers of small stuff and it's practically free.

Just a hint when using zip lock bags. If it doesn't have tiny items, trim the bottom corner at an angl to let air out . Old teacher trick. It doesn't have to be a big cut.

I recommend using repurpose glass jars with metal lids perfect for underneath cabinets,shelves or any place there room Just remove the lid & attach it underneath. In the kitchen i took a thin board & attached it underneath the bottom cabinets & used baby food jars for spices p.s its cute, handy & perfect Try using the book holder for different types of food wrappers or storage bags & attached it with a cup hook to a pantry hall. Pretty sure you're as real as they get juggling marriage, family, work, home, children etc. You're more of an inspiration than you'll probably ever know and I merely wanted you to know that. 2 questions: 1) can you strip/sand refinish/refurbish that compressed (bookshelf) wood, and 2) how are you able to keep your paints/stains from ruining being stored in the garage? Reusable mesh produce bags! Omg these best invention ever.. by far! I got a set of these to use for my produce but there were so many I ended up using some to organize & store other stuff. Then I ended up buying 4 more sets because they are THE BEST way to corral loose stuff & I'm even ready to order more now. A perfect example are wood beads. The sizes are great. The large ones (17" x 12") are really quite big & great for storing macrame cord, fabric, skeins of yarn, stencils etc. The medium are 14"x 12" & the small are 8" x 12". At about 5 bucks a set for a dozen bags I haven't found a cheaper way to organize my home. I use these for tons of stuff. I even use the large ones to store sets of sheets so each set is kept together. On another note - we use these all over the house. I even use them to hold delicates & socks in the laundry. We have them in our cars to hold loose stuff. One holds all my loose cables & stuff for cell phones, tablets, etc. My son & daughter even use them. It's crazy how useful these are. They also keep the stuff inside the bags clean. To note: They do keep my produce fresh one heck of a lot longer than anything else I've ever used. OK... Don't get me wrong.... I LOVEEEEE diy videos.... HOWEVER, these kinds of videos I ALMOST love more than the diy ones! Lol. I don't know if you're familiar with Megan from "Glue Guns and Roses" on here, but she's got some AMAZEBALLZ videos like this! If you've not seen them, sister, you gotta go check em out! Lol. She's funny too so I just crack up at her {like I do with you lol} at the funny way she describes or explains things sometimes. And she's great at taking things and using them for NOWHERE CLOSE to what they were actually intended for! Like, she takes those DT silver metal paper towel holders, hangs them on the wall in her garage {with the round side against the wall}, bends them slightly upwards and stores all her different WREATHS on them! Anyhoo, sorry for babbling if you've already seen hers lol but they are too awesome not to share! ESPECIALLY since you asked about different ideas! Now, I've actually been officially disabled because of my back for like 10+ years now and the disability budget is too sad and pathetic to even hardly mention so I have to do things on a pretty tight budget, however, even when I had my own business for 15 years, I've just always been cheap. Lol. 😂 I don't like to waste ANYTHING so while we are in the process of "planning out" my craft room upstairs, I've just been kinda gathering things here and there for storage, etc.... Well, I know I'll be having tons of shelves but I refuse to run out and buy all the pretty little matching bins to organize my stuff in to go on the shelves so I've been saving like the good, sturdy cardboard boxes {they don't even have to be the same sizes, but I just take those cheap craft paints from Walmart and paint the boxes where they all basically match and then I ordered from Amazon those little label pull things {like used to go on the little drawers of the card catalog in libraries} and a put those on the front of each of those boxes so when I label them, they still look "pretty" or whatever, just better than using a sharpie to write what's in the box lol and they are easy to slide towards you to get whatever you need! Also check fb marketplace. U can find them for under $20 if they have a few scratches. I bought 3 that way. Bought a few cams uf spray paint made them all pretty n matching. I also had a bunch of really nice storage basksts that were made to go in cibes- that had Been my grandaughter s. They were bright pink. Couldnt stsmd thst color so hit them with dpray primer n painted them. Now my craft area is pretty cohesive. I love a lot of her ideas especially getting cupboards from habbitat. Going ti do that.

I use makeup bags. I put my expensive drawing markers in them. My non electric power chargers & charging cords. Old SD and flash drives. And Lil first aid kits, personalized. Emergency sewing/ hair clips, rubber bands Anything, including real make up. They are like fancy containers that zip up. Plus, the are grab and go.

I love all the space to do your crafts. I’m currently working on a larger workspace.

I shop at Aldis a lot. But I'm sure you could find these at any grocery store I think...but at Aldis, it is Deli Selected Meats uncured and comes in a plastic storage box. The lid is red. The sticker on top comes off easily for me if i let hot tap water run over it for a minute or less. I wash them up dry them and I have storage for my crafts!!

You are a scream! Lol This is so entertaining as well as helpful. But that flower storage finale was jaw dropping. What a great idea! You could add some washers or rocks to the bottoms of your top heavy containers to keep them from falling over. Thanks for the great tips and lively video.

There was a “duh” tip for me - I have used a wire “trash can for a LONG time to hold my artificial florals and every time I go to get one out I’m always annoyed how smashed together all the florals are- I watched you put “unsquashed” florals in that wired tray and ... “DUH! Why hadn’t I thought of that” went through my brain

🌷💖🌸. Great craft space I love the beautiful mess you have, it’s your space and I guess people can’t say your not using your stuff. It’s what you think works for you for now that counts if we were all rich we buy everything or have contractors come and make us the space we want and be done with it but we’re not, so we use what we can and buy if it’s on sale 😃. Its taken me a handful of yrs to buy all the storage for my crafts and I bought ikea kallax bookcases for my crafts but I bought them from OfferUp which is a bit like Craigslist. Two of the units and a reg bookcase were completely free , at the time I had no idea what kind of bookcases they were it was on OfferUp and the lady just showed a half picture of disassembled bookcases I thought they were two reg sizes. After going for them and I was trying to figure out what was what and when I put it all together it was a 5 by 5 unit which is 25 cubes and there was a 4 cubby unit and then a reg bookcase. I was over the top what this lady gave for free. God knows I needed it badly and I since then have bought a few more pretty much at a very low price like another 5by5 for $40 and so on. I use Costco bins to fill my crafts. I have my flowers in Dollar Tree buckets or maybe there pails the ones I have are navy blue with white nautical rope for a handle. I’ve never felt that the buckets would be a permanent place for the flowers. I also bought 5 drawers crates as well. I hung all my wreath forms in the garage too. Anyway maybe I can send you a pic on Instagram ( CONFETTI CRAFTS ) so you can see how I have my things or if anybody else wants to know. Thanks again for sharing your crafty space, it’s awesome 🌷💖🌸

Tubs can be used to store what ever colors of embossing powder is the most used or if you want to mix some to make your own colors and to store glitter small double sided tape runners extra label maker tape batteries and much more

WoW! Great video that’s “perfect”, informative and realistically possible for the majority of people who need affordable organizational solutions like myself. I have a question about the dollar store version of plastic command hooks. Are they easily removable like the brand name ones? Roughly five years ago I purchased very similar (if not the exact same) hooks from Dollar Tree and placed them on my living room wall. They held up the framed art piece excellently (perfectly lol) and I was very impressed...until I decided to change things up and needed to remove the hooks. I followed the instructions, looked for help and suggestions videos online and tried them all but the darn hooks refused to budge. In the end, I was able to finally remove them BUT in doing so I ripped right through the painted wall all the way into the drywall!! Full on nightmare!! I have/had used brand name command hooks on the same wall without the slightest issue. Since this happened so long ago I’m wondering if they have been improved because brand name hooks are super expensive! I would love to save money and buy the dollar store version, but it’s not worth saving money on them at the cost of completely repairing and repainting an entire wall!! Ok Araceli I have a challenge for you! First let me say I love your inspirational videos. I call you the Queen of foam board. So, with that being said I'm wanting to so faux wood beams on my bedroom ceiling.
