I'm always so nice to door knockers, which leads to conversation. But I would never buy anything from them, so I inevitably waste their time. Is there anyway for me not to feel bad after someone coming to my door?!

Nah don't feel bad, and I don't think it's a waste of time either , u giving them more experience. And some may just think of money but with kindness with just speaking back gives motivation. U good bro don't feel bad, I'd say even people who do treat doorknockers rudly aren't at fault either, they have that right. Salesman gotta understand to be strong within 💯

I’m trying to not think like that but it just keeps creeping into my head feel like i have to do 2x the much work as everyone to get half the credit 💯

Adam, I’ve been in roofing sales for 4-5 months. I go D2D, and managed to gain my first few clients quickly. My only issue is that the claims have been approved but no work has been done by my company therefore I haven’t been paid. Is this normal?

The Karens, Darrens, and all the angry ones that answer the door are just lonely and want someone to listen to all of their piddly little problems and pat them on the back like a child. If you do that with kindness, they'll bend over backwards for you and give you the shirt off their back to make sure you keep treating them with the kindness they never receive from others. You can call it however you want to see it, but that's just the way it is.

Yes absolutely, I will be very angry that I had to defend myself because you threatened me with a gun, when all you had to do is say “I’m not interested”. Given your lack of knowledge of what is acceptable use of a firearm for self defense I’m going to guess you are untrained. I am confident you won’t be about to out draw someone who is. I be very sad that I had to no other option but to defend myself and take a life. You are very misinformed and you probably smell like cat piss but on the off chance someone cares about you I will be sad I took you from then. I’ll be very sad that you made me kill you. I hope you do not have a gun you. Susan you are the perfect example of someone who should not own a firearm. Please do some research and learn the appropriate use of a firearm in self defense.

As a concealed carry instructor, I'd like to remind you that use or threat of deadly force is only permissible when you are imminent threat of death or great bodily harm. Someone showing up unarmed on your doorstep does not qualify. Use or threat of deadly force will be punishable as a felony offense, from felony menacing with a firearm - to 1st degree murder. When that happens, investigators examine online activity to see if such acts were pre-meditated. Finding comments like this likely won't support your case. My best advice: Put up a no soliciting sign. I teach everyone to respect that.

@@TheRoofStrategist It is an imminent threat if a man is on my property without permission. I don’t know if he is armed & dangerous, I have my family to protect. So don’t think for a second that i’m going to open my door to a man that I don’t know to find out. He could have mental health issues & if he can’t read my warning sign & decides to break the Law & Trespass onto my Private property then he will either meet my friend Remington or Winchester if he doesn’t leave. I know the Law, i’ve been a firearm owner for 39 years & I haven’t shit at anyone because nobody has entered my property without permission. I have Hunters that mail me permission letters asking me if they can hunt on my property & that’s how it should be done.

3 ways of dealing with rejection at the door? I have only 1 suggestion for all who want to do door to door sales, DON’T DO IT!! That’s my advice! DO NOT DO THIS! YOU DO JOT HAVE THE OWNERS PERMISSION TO STEP ON THEIR PRIVATE PROPERTY! PLEASE EDUCATE THEM AS THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! EDUCATION! NOBODY CAN PLEAD IGNORANCE, IT IS UP TO YOU AS THE INDIVIDUAL TO KNOW THE LAW!
