i have footage of the dog with the owner and stuff but it was weird and i didnt want to use it without his permission.. was weird because i was sort of mad at him for losing the dog and because he didnt seem as upset as i felt i would have been if i lost my cute little dog in a red sweater. glad the dog is safe. people need to be better dog owners. this guy seemed super irresponsible

800 days in a row was so insane. Not missing a single day. And it's not only that you uploaded a video 800 days, but that the quality of the videos remained so high throughout the experience. I became a fan during that time and I watched every single one of those 800 videos. It almost felt like we as viewers were somehow a little bit of part of your daily life.

I've watched all your 800 days of vlogging for years and what I've learned is that there's so many unpredictable moments you've created without any force. I have insane videos of me hanging out of a cab like the Joker going over the Manhattan Bridge in a Santa costume, I have insane photos and videos after Connor McGregor won in MSG in November 2016, I met my wife when I was in NYC, I have absolute fond memories and have since moved away My wife and I toy with moving back but it's a bit more complicated now that we have a family

As a fellow content creator, it’s always so fun breaking down Casey’s videos from a different perspective. The details and effort that is put in to make such a smooth-flowing video is very inspiring. Keep it up!

I will never NOT watch a Casey video the first day it goes live. something about you just being back in NYC and making stuff regularly again gives this buzz of energy that I can't explain. Nobody gives me that feeling on the internet it's insane. you really let us into your life in a way that made anything feel possible and with this new voice and direction, it's a continuation o that magic. thanks dude :)

I love how Casey can produce a relative short video with a very clear story line. It baffles me every time how many different shots are composed in each video. All those fast shots give the sensation of a very fast moving movie, like an action scene. It really capures the attion of the viewer. Yet, the story has a slow moving pace. Very well balanced and put together! Glad to have you back Casey!

I felt alone during pandemic, so I started listening your past daily vlogs and trying to catchup. I'm now not at ~690/800. This is freaking incredible what you have done. Thanks!

No videos are like Caseys. Very fresh, funny, creative as hell, after all these years he still finds new things which would be impossible for me to do on a daily basis. Even tho i enjoy filming and stuff

Man I miss those days. I feel like I completely got to know you as a person; which is crazy because we live 3000 miles apart. I came to NYC in 2019 and did loads of cool things. But my favourite thing was walking down broadway trying to spot your studio. Which I eventually did! Thanks for the energy it took to make those videos, and thanks for the memories. I’ll be here for life. X

So glad you're back, Sir - and even gladder that you're approaching it in a more healthy, sustainable, mature way. How could you not though, really? All part of living a life and resisting the urge to not learn from it.

Watching you i realized that i want to be a filmmaker. No where close to being one but will be working on it till i get there.

I want to buy a boosted board after watching these videos. And then realize they’re longer a company. I love seeing videos like these, Casey! I couldn’t imagine making a video every day for 800 days straight.

It was how you made it so non repetitive and managed to film and edit and release without fail. That was crazy man. I started 5 years ago and struggled with one a week with a full time job and family, kids.... its nuts man. I now post ad hoc and a lot less stressful. But a lot more difficult to coax enthusiasm, energy and direction to film on each occurance. Great to see you posting adhoc dude. Was well missed.

Glad people like you exist and have access to the population. You are an inspiration on all levels man, always keep it up!

I remember stumbling onto one of your vlogs just before you started your daily vlogs, getting hooked and absolutely loving every single episode of them! Hard to believe that was 5 or so years ago that it ended! Still and will always be the best youtuber out there!

Truly appreciate the whole video. The whole thing was awesome content! You did exactly what you summed up in the end. Less introspective more observation. I appreciate it! I've been inspired!

I suspect you can get faster with more practice like with anything. You can also organize the way you record the content with a plan for your story. That can cut down on the time it takes to organize after. For me the longest part has been music selection. I feel like I need to put on the music catalog all day to sample it so I know what could be good with a video. But matching the right music to the moment is hard because it will make or break the video.

Hey Matt, I’m the completely opposite!! I realized my vlogs wouldn’t get done if I don’t shoot, edit and upload all from my iPhone. It’s working well so far… just finished my 30th. But that’s interesting how everyone has their workflow.

@@offwhitemke Totally get it, I am in the wine niche and I have to go through lots of interviews and chop down 10 minutes of one down into 60-90 seconds... and sometimes it's not in perfect English so I have to edit to make it clear... Music takes a long time for me too.

Your 800 days of vlogging taught me why you as a content creator love New York so much. It's the perfect city for a guy like you :)

I got to say, I LOVE your content! I haven't watched everything you have put out by any means but I love the simplicity of your vlogs. Very inspiring to see how you "just get it done"!

Casey is one of my inspirations for me filming every day of my life. I filmed the last 1000 days in some capacity (not in a vlog format) and I have 2 terrabytes of video. I do it just to remember, to document change, to make little films in between the chaos we call life. I found that living for the video is not the way to go. Life goes on, film is secondary to mental health and real-life relationships. But it's fun to be able to pull any day and say _that_ is where I was as a person and as a creative.

I inhaled each and every Vlog and can say that it does not matter too much what exactly you deal with in the vlogs. I've always loved the ones where easy is just Casey talking about something he's dealing with at the moment. Being a new Skateboard or the fact that the bikelane isn't clearly marked. new channel that started 2 months ago - I dropped out of school and a job I hated to try and make this channel, sharing what I love (cooking and storytelling) with the world. Your advice is amazing. You inspire me.

Watching Casey now and his retrospective outlook is like when you see actors watch and review films they have been in. Love the new style of content very refreshing to watch!

I like the balance that You, Van and Wranglerstar all have with regards to family... the kids are kept out for their privacy, and yet we know they exist, and that's enough context to tell stories.

That hits pretty deep, actually. And it's a dilemma a lot of youtubers run into I imagine. How much of your life is your life, and how much of it is "hey, i'll do this for youtube...". I think you're taking a pretty healthy approach to it- and for better or worse, you can look back on your channel and see your growth, which is pretty cool! And something a lot of folks don't have. As someone who has memory issues, i've forgotten a lot of my experiences and memories, and it's so frustrating when people go "hey, do you remember....?" and I don't! Or to have a family member pass away and not be able to remember my time with them.

Damn those transitions were so clean, I had to go back so many times just to catch them all. Inspiration on another level.

Casey makes it looks so easy, but such a TREMENDOUS amount of work goes into the camera placement and shots, that even those trying to imitate the style fall flat.

Thanks for the fun video! Those drone shots looks so beautiful! I miss that! And we saw a lot of drones footage in your daily vlogs! And the fun things i like was to find drones that crasht! Especially the parrot drones with different colour props! Love that video!😁😁👍

Pure Casey! He does an introspective vlog telling us he’s not going to do introspective videos. That’s one of the reasons I love him so much. That, and the fact that he uses the smallest vacuum attachment to clean his studio. ;)

And that trajectory of those 800 videos is how you broke through so the world can see your amazing content. There is a plethora of awesome content creators on KZread, that's lost under the bottom of the grand iceberg of the algorithm that no one sees until they consistently make videos without stopping and eventually break through.

HOW YOU DID IT will always baffle me but it is absolutely amazing. Your quality and resiliency to get through it is unmatched

Love this video! Just yesterday I was contemplating the differences between creating "content" vs making art. Sometimes even in my moments alone, I feel pressure to develop a documentary of my life for others to consume rather than just for me to enjoy. Searching for clarity of purpose is a great way to put it.

I was watching Casey's videos LONG before the vlogs. I remember how happy I was when he decided to vlog. I remember being sad when he decided to quit, though I understood it. Every time he uploads though, it's always the same level of happiness again. I know I'm in for five to ten minutes of pure perspective. Casey's videos have always been special.
