3 Section Staff - Double Downward Spin - Waterfall Tutorial

In this video we focus on one of the most signature flowering, or spinning techniques with the three sectional staff. My first instructor called it the waterfall flower, and although I don't think that's a traditional name for it, I think it fits pretty well. I have also heard it called the large flower, or double downward spin. I highly suggest you perfect the technique with a staff before even thinking about using a three section staff as there are many variables to adapt to when in motion and can be overwhelming if you have to focus on everything at once. After you really have the movement down with a staff and muscle memory kicks in, you will greatly lower the risk of self injury so take your time!!!

I struck myself 4 times while learning this technique because I didn't spend as much time with a standard staff as I should have 😅. I'm still grateful to have a teacher that took me this far 😁

How to train footwork by making the flower. Forward the position of the cat. Back which position?
watch one short video, played it with 0.25 speed. now i know how to do 2x figure 8 with 360 spins and jumps added to it in less than 30mins and 4min video :D ( not this one) Never holded a staff in my hands. I just went for freesection from the start. Easy peasy, i might be natural. Also i learned nunchuck and all 9 hand changes in less then 7 days. Wonder what weapon shall i learned next?
