I love that ‘a man finds a wife’ , I think it’s so true. Whilst dating for awhile and encountering all the usual challenges, I changed things and accepted dates by less attractive men who were at least 4 years older than me. Wow! What a difference. Every third guy was into me. So I carried on until there was a guy who I liked back. And it was sooooo different to dating men my age (I was 47). Such a different dynamic.

I disagree that we should wait on revealing what our intentions are early on. I’ve experienced this and it gives me anxiety and makes me miserable. I do not care that it scares them away. That only signifies they’re not ready and that’s ok. I get that being honest about what I want makes it harder for me to find a partner, to be rejected more and to be lonely, however I do not care. I’m not gonna waste my energy, deteriorate my mental health just for the sake of being in a relationship. That’s playing dirty and it’s a waste of time. Most people play these games of beating around the bush because they’re afraid of being alone. Loneliness is not easy but is way more peaceful than being in a relationship with people who are confused. Rejection is a blessing and it should be appreciated more. It should build you up, not break you.

I agree with you on many topics and ideas topics Alex but the idea on ‘type’ and compatibility I can not agree with. Type doesn’t equal compatibility. Types typically and primarily fulfill shallow desires with the hope that they’ll fulfill deep emotions within one’s self with equal reciprocation and more than most of the time they don’t. You said yourself, one girl you had to hardest time getting over was NOT your type. Types puts one in repetitive and toxic cycles.

We women has to stop looking for commitment and just date. Have fun. Stop dating to commit. I dated a man for three years after me and my husband divorced. Me and my ex husband were monogamous friends. I knew this would be conflicting in a relationship with someone else. So me and this man just dated. I never pushed the issue. Now this ex is deceased. I’ve moved away from our home town…sold the house…and live 23 hours away. This is very bad advice. If a woman wants to bring up kids, she needs commitment. Also, many women can't be in a relatioship without strong emotional attachment. of course, it's very convenient if you have a "male type" of attachment and you just enjoy sex basically with whomever without choosing much and can walk away the next moment. I knew several women like that. Yet, for kids they still chose a committed relationship - it's just easier to get commitment for a woman when you don't get attached and keep many options open until such commitment occurs. Anyway, for the majority of women it is not the case and thus the road to ruin. This is where she will be bringing up kids as a single mother without any help, doing both work for money (or two) and work with the kids and around the house and probably die an early death with her life sucked out of her.
