Love the SEAQ. The new blue one is beautiful. If they could double the power reserve on the smaller version it’d be perfect.

I own this watch. It is part of my collection, but is one of the few I would keep forever. Extremely accurate- runs fast only 2 seconds per month! Most quartz movements can’t touch that. It is hard to believe, but I had the watch on my wrist for the last 5 months and am getting this result consistently. Looks beautifully retro and is awesome on a leather straps as well. Hidden gem of a watch!

Yeah agree completely- I understand not having a display back when there’s a pedestrian eta/selitta in there but I’d want to see a GO movement in the same way I like to see my GS movement.

Also, the 39.11 is a modernized movement of the original SeaQ so it is very faithful.

Amazing brand , amazing piece ... have the SeaQ panorama datum but sometimes I think it’s pretty big and tall for my wrist (same reason why I sold my SD43) maybe this one is a better fit but I’m sure I will miss the panorama datum and the wonderful movement you can see in the back

I was with you until hearing the lug width .... although more companies are making the odd sizes. But what a stunning watch.

The lug width is actually 20mm, not 19mm as you stated. I handled the watch and the textile strap was my favorite combo. As awesome as the fine adjustment clasp is, the polished center links and the non-taper of the bracelet make it a no-go for me. I am seriously considering buying this watch.

@@austinzizzi1142 Yes, bought the watch and zero regrets. A keeper. Bought it without the bracelet and it wears well on kind of leather, textile and rubber straps.

I like it and love GO but prefer the new blue dial version with applied (white) numerals and indices that match the bezel. But I will hold out for it to be offered with an exhibition case back and longer power reserve or just get the 38mm Blancpain FF Bathyscaphe, which has an exhibition case back, 100 hour power reserve, white lume, and arguably more historical significance.

Vintage inspired design language and great size for a skin diver. The best ones I agree, look great on a Cordovan or alligator strap. That said, there’s nothing dressy about it IMO. The solid caseback is a non issue. I do agree, there’s something about the date window, though I’m not sure cramped is the word I’d choose. This is one I’d look for preowned.

Oh yes, this could be my one watch collection. The dilemma is: I own many watches I love too. ATM I wait for a Daytona, but afterwards I will go for a SeaQ in blue. I really LOVE this watch. Once I own it, I will see, if I sell all other watches ( except the Daytona) and only live with my Glashütte. I saw it for the first time last Saturday and immediately fell in love with it. But it is very expensive for what it gives you. An open caseback, more than 40hours „Gangreserve“ would be nice and a prize around 6000-7000€ would be okay in my opinion. On the bracelet you have to pay 10000€- that’s too much.

Also I know you wear your watches on your right arm but maybe a shot of it on your left arm would be good too :) That's just my opinion. 90% of the people watching might not care but it may help with peoples buying decisions. Cheers.

Back in 2000 while I was a WOSTEP student (a 3 year swiss watchmaking program) the AP-RO was around $7K and the original GO "Evo" was around $4,5K and the Sub 16610 could be yours for between $2,5-3K and the PP 5711 was $17-18K at pretty much any AD. On one occasion I even got the price on a AP-RO down to $5.900 at WEMPE in Hamburg but being a student with a pregnant girlfriend I decided not to buy it. Once this industry was a cool place for the true coinsures, truly knowledgeable semi pro dealers and watchmakers like myself. Look at it now. A whole world is "bitten" by the watch bug. Most of you guys don´t even know how a gear train works yet you spend tens of thousands of dollars on watches. You argue about ETA/Selita vs manufacture and this or that complication as if you really knew what you are talking about. Trust me, with your level of knowledge any Longines automatic will be more then enough.

Great review but IMHO this watch doesn't have design coherence. Different lume on hands and indicies, non-applied markers, weird 19mm lug width, 40hr power reserve, and unbalanced minutes vs hours hands. Cheers

Beautiful watch but the font and the faux patina make it feel like a cool, vintage inspired dive watch, only. I can't see this pulling double duty as a dress watch. I think it would looks silly with a crocodile strap, IMO. I'd love to have it as part of a collection, though.
