i dont know how i feel about the no sand, it really changes the whole look.

Yeah it definitely looks better with sand, but I was over constantly cleaning it so i made the decision to remove it

I have just come back to the hobby and basically have the same set up as that. Currently cycling. Do you still run a filter sock ?

Nice man. I don’t run the filter sock. I use coarse sponge, chemipure blue, and filter wool on top
