3 Minute Liquid Dough, Garlic Flatbread :: No-yeast, No-kneading, Quick and Easy :: Garlic Naan
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
*** Please refer to the TIP at the bottom of the expected questions.
I made flatbread easily without kneading and fermenting the dough.
It is a simple method that can be completed in 3 minutes by adding a few ingredients and stirring.
The inside is moist and the outside is chewy, and the savory taste is really good with garlic and green onions.
It's really delicious when you dip it in curry.
You can add salad ingredients and roll it like a burrito,
You can use it in various dishes like tortillas.

*** Measurements are scales (g), rice spoons (Tbsp), teaspoons (tsp) (not measuring spoons)
[6 sheet]
✤ Ingredients
- 200g All-purpose flour
- 3g (1tsp) Salt
- 3g (1tsp) Sugar
- 10g (1Tbsp) Melted unsalted butter
- 18g (1Tbsp) Minced garlic
- 25g (2.5Tbsp) Chopped green onion
- 380ml Water
✤ Tips
- I explained it in detail in the video, but the most important thing is to control the heat to make the bread rise.
- Preheat over medium heat, cook over medium low heat, and when a small air layer starts to form, increase the heat to medium heat.
- You can think of it as baking at the strongest temperature that will not burn.
- After eating, refrigerate the leftovers and reheat them in a pan to make them the same as before.

Do you have a garden to grow vegetables? If not Tubs and buckets work for carrots and potatoes, and will give the children an incentive and feeling of usefulness and self reliance! Carrot tops and many other veggies regrow if you sit in water to root.😉🙏

Indian here. Although this is not exactly naan, its something we refer to as a Chilla. Ofc you can use a ton of different flours, chopped veggies and fillings as per your liking, it will still taste amazing.

Looks like roti - thin flat bread - made much larger , and used to make curried goat roti
I tried this today it looked delicious and easy. I do not like waiting for dough to rise and then the rolling, it is so much effort. This took me awhile not going to lie but i can see this taking 15-20 min easily. I did all my other preparation while waiting to flip the bread so i can see this working well if timed correctly. I am in Canada and the medium temperature was not enough on my electric stovetop. I am positive it would be different in a gas burner. It took awhile to figure out because i did not want to burn it. For those with an electric stove crank it up to nearly maximum just don't forget to flip it a little more often. Non of mine bubbled till the last one because by then i had it on maximum. I did end up useing a lid to help contain some heat as the gradual increase in temperature wasn't doing anything till i got to maximum. I am a vegetarian so i appreciate a no egg recipe. I will attempt this again soon now that i have practice. This will be great for soft tacos! Thank you very much Namaste 🙏
No yeast, no kneading... Perfect! I'll definitely try.
Finally something easy and fast that doesn't need rolling out and rising. Thank you

@@mackiceicukice I just made them 2 days ago, BUT I used flour that expired in 2015 I think. What is there to go bad? I made about 7, also no green onions here so I added some dried basil instead. Mine never puffed up either, never separated one side from the other. I added some baking powder to the batter after the first 3 of them. They didn't get crispy, maybe sort of chewy, like they maybe didn't get cooked all the way through. I was hungry and ate them anyway. I saved the leftovers in the fridge and still have one left. Reheating in my toaster oven seemed fine. Mine were soft and flexible, but I think they were supposed to be lighter. Did you cook them on medium? Maybe yours were too hot? I DID need to oil the pan well before I put the batter in the pan though.

I have tried to make various flatbreads, this is by far is my favorite! I made a batch which were immediately eaten, then doubled the recipe and made it all the same day. Also I found half green onion + half corriander to be an amazing combination. The texture is awesome! Strong enough to hold together any wrap securely, yet tender, moist and absolutely delicious. Thank you very much! Looks yummy....yet to make. Hope this helps your viewers. FLATBREAD GARLIC 3MIN LIQUID DOUGH 200g all purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 1T minced garlic 2.5 T finely chopped green onion 1T (10g) melted unsalted butter Mix all ingredients Slowly add 380ml water to adjust amount as necessary. Mix well until no lumps. Finish with flowing consistency. Heat up pan over medium heat. Ladle into fry pan, drawing a circle on top spreading batter out. Turn over, gently press edges. Keep turning over an over and pressing all the time. When air pockets form increase the heat to create larger air pockets - keep patting - turn frequently to spread the heat evenly. Pat the air pockets gently to keep it puffing out “eating air and feeling full”. (It puffs up pretty much entirely). Move to plate. Continue with next flatbread, stacking as you go.

I didn't have green onion, so I made them without. After the first batch, prepared double portion, and we devoured them with red chili sauce and avocadoes. In the second batch, I decided to use immersion blender to get more homogenous texture of the dough. Also, I experimented with ghee instead of butter. Came out both ways delicious!!! Go ahead guys! I was just thinking that this looks like a much easier way to make tortillas, or a bread similar enough to tortillas without the kneeling and rolling out. I have serious back problems that keep me from standing for very long in the kitchen and this recipe would make homemade tortillas something I could make again. You really can’t beat homemade for burritos, soft tacos and quesadillas!❤❤
I just tried these. First ones didn't poof & were doughy, so I added a little more water (about 2 Tb) and remembered to SPREAD out the batter on the pan. I got some poof this time & they were better. Sunflower oil smoked in my pan, so I switched to Earth Balance, which did not smoke but is salty, so next time will reduce the salt. I used 1 3/4 cups flour & about 1 2/3 cups water. I think the batter has to be thin, and the constant flipping is so they don't burn, IMO.

Mine didn't puff at all either and looked a little doughy as well. I hope she responds when I asked her how much batter you put in the pan. She is used to this so she probably just eyeballs it. I need precise because I've never made these. However I have made flour tortillas and they puffed up and were really easy to make.

These are interesting and delicious. I didn’t have green onion so I threw in a small handful of dehydrated chives. I made 6 of them. I finally got it right on the final one. You have to do just like the video, spread it very thin - I could see my spatula through it. Then continually turn it. Before, I was leaving them 20-30 seconds before flipping them. Also, medium low was too low with my electric stove. They never really browned. The final one was where I turned the heat up more. And it seems to be the only one that really got done. It was also the only one that started creating air bubbles.

А для полного счастья хорошо бы и рецептик карри, уж очень аппетитно выглядит.
We tried this using the limited tools we had on hand and here are some tips: 1. You need a silicone spatula. I only had a metal one and a silicone mixing spatula (for baking) using a metal one is hard because it tends to ruin the dough which needs delicate flipping 2) you need a WIDE nonstick pan. Unfortunately I only had a medium sized one with high edges. You need either a crepe pan or a low edge nonstick pan for this, particularly a wide one if you want to make bigger ones. My medium size one could only make one as big as a taco (when folder) because of the difficulty of flipping/maneuvering with the high sides. 3) have the patience to keep flipping, it takes time for it to bubble. 4) make sure there is enough oil but not too much 5) make sure the middle is slightly thicker than the edges, or just make sure the edges are not thicker than the middle to get that perfect middle that will bubble 6) this is not a recipe for impatient people.

좋아요, 감사합니다.
They are like flour tortillas in Mexico, you accompany them with asadero cheese or roast meat and they are delicious 👏😃
I added chives instead, they came up amazing! The texture and flavor are perfect, you can eat them on their own!
I can’t believe that bread came out like that. I will have to try that recipe

As an Indian, this is like a fusion of naan and dosa. Quite a creative idea indeed!
I tried this recipe and it turned out really tasty (just like all your other recipes) ! And it was very easy aswell. I cook a lot and try lots of high rated recipes, but your recipes are always next level. So easy, super tasty, high quality videos with good explanations. Thank you so much 💙

Did i puff up like shown ???
this is an awesome recipe. Thank you so much for sharing it with the world!! I am Gluten intolerant so I made a few changes and it also made the best GF cakes ever!! I used my own GF flour mix, added 1 tsp of Xadthium Gum, and then had to add about 1 cup more water, not sure why. The batter was a little thicker and they cooked well on med to med-low temp!! I thought other might enjoy this or you could experiment and create another GF recipe for us all!!

I was just thinking of trying this with GF flour. Thanks for the tip!
In Western Canada - Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants all serve these as Green Onion Cakes - usually served with soy sauce, chili paste and/or hoisin. Delicious.
This looks delicious!
just the texture alone make me want to make some of these, they look delicious! I may stop buying store-bought tortillas because of this!

Me too. This is an easier way to make tortillas, instead of butter, I'll try olive oil and see how it goes...
Looks great, thanks! Chickpea curry also looks interesting, I'd love to see that recipe, too 🙂
Here in Chhattisgarh(stete), India we call it "chila" but instead of all purpose flour we make it with rice flour ( mostly with new rice means when the new crop comes every year ) It tastes really good

Thanks for sharing. Your method is so simple and easy. I like it and going to try it. ❤
Hey! I tried this recipe. It was soft and moist. The warm and cozy taste was long lasting on my tongue, however, the bread never puffed up while on the pan. If I could get a reason why that happened, it would be wonderful! I recommend this recipe to try, whoever are looking for a review!

It looks like she added baking powder (not soda, if you add soda, you also need to add acid to puff it, like yogurt)
Actually made this recipe and followed all instructions. Bread did not puff up, but was absolutely delicious. 10 out of 10

This is similar to crepe and it will not raise. Not sure how the host able to make the bread raise without kneading. It’s misleading

Good to know because I will be using a cast iron griddle that takes longer to cool down and I don't want to wait 5 minutes in between each flatbread.

@@lindazha If you read the description under the video it says this.. ✤ Tips - I explained it in detail in the video, but the most important thing is to control the heat to make the bread rise. - Preheat over medium heat, cook over medium low heat, and when a small air layer starts to form, increase the heat to medium heat. - You can think of it as baking at the strongest temperature that will not burn.
Super recipe for my family thank you for recipe
What a peaceful video, i love the ambience ❤ great recipe too, good work❤❤❤
Looks delicious! I think I might also try it with coriander, one of my favourite flavours.
